Yes, listen to haruhisuzumiya, she knows what she's talking about!!

Don't worry about exercise giving you mega muscles. Yes, you may get some, but we're not talking Arnold Schwarzenneger here. If you're not used to exercise, then start off with fairly light activity, and work your way up to more strenuous activity. You could go for a walk, then incorporate some jogging into it. Or swimming is also good, you can start of with a few laps of the pool, then work your way up to more and more. You could try setting yourself a goal, like being able to jog a mile, then 2 miles etc

You'll need to combine your exercise with healthy eating too. There's no point in working out for an hour if you then eat a bag of chips and a big bowl of ice-cream and some cake afterwards. And if you want the weight to stay off, you'll need to change your eating habits. Don't skip meals. Keep yourself hydrated. Make sure you eat lots of fruit and veg. Don't deny yourself treats, or you'll be more likely to binge. Just try and keep a healthy balance with your food.

Anything that promises super quick results is most likely lying, or gonna be unhealthy for you in the long run. Most of these things are dreamed up by marketing gurus out to make as much money as possible. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.

Oh yeah, and anyone who says stuff like "No pain, no gain" is a liar, you don't need to be in agony to lose weight and get healthy.
