i think when it comes to BMI it tells you the 'healthiest' weight range designed for fully developed adults. but as a teen your body is still changing and in the transition between kid nd adulthood. everybody is different and views whats a healthy weight differently. like me, I'm 176cm (about 5,8"ish) and currently weigh 140lbs. Gosh that sounds huge wen compared to 90-100lb but i would look sick if i was that skinny because of my height. to be honest, right now im ok with my weight, im still a UK size 8 (jst have to lookout for long length trousers which are hard to find in size 8 u no)but my target now is to go back to 128lb, because thats when i felt most confident about my body as i was skinny, but toned (i was crazy back then and did like 500sit ups a day, where did i get the energy??). i let myself slip over winter and am now suffering the consequences, but since i joined this thread and started exercising, iv gotten a flat stomach and more toned arms. but my diet still aint good so im just not loosing the lbs.
i was on target with staying off fizzy drinks for nearly two weeks but then the fair circus and exams happened. u have to drink coke at the fair and circus. its like a rule! like you go to the fair u buy candy floss, u go to the circus u buy popcorn, well coke just goes nice with those foods. then i drink coke and dr. pepper a lot near exam times to stay up late and revise. i just had an exam 2day and am reli tempted to snack binge but so far iv only had a pack of crisp. but my snack cupboard seems to be calling me. its like i have a haunted snack cupboard thats all 'eaaatt meeeee' .
but you should know when your comfortable with your body, and you dont need scales to tell you that, just confidence and poise, or a memory of a time when you were confident. all i could suggest is dont aim for the same weight as ur friends or celebrities, cause wat looks good on their frame might not match ur own, aim for wat looks good in the mirror, or that pair of shorts in the back of the walldrobe that u loved wearing last summer but you just cant seem to button up this year so stuffed it outta sight (my problem)
(soz bout the essay)
