I sincerely hope that you find happiness with him. Though you may think that I can't wait to say "I told you so" if and when he screws you over, you're quite mistaken. If anything, because I care for you so much and for newborn daughter, I fervently pray that he won't "screw up", that things really will work out between you two. Even if it means you choosing him over me. It's nothing new really, I guess it just hurts more now that I accept the fact.

Dear mom and dad,
Isn't it funny how you can love a person so much and yet hate them so intensely at times that it can be scary? Well, I guess that's normal with parent-child relationships. I love you dearly but your ambitions are not mine nor will I bend to your will and allow you to attain your goals through me. Grandma always told me that it's better to be a reed than an oak, but I fear that if I really was a reed, you'd just pull me out as opposed to an oak.
