Dear Dad,
I know you have a girlfriend that you want me to meet. Sorry, I really don't want to. Not after all the things she said to my mom. Insulting her and calling her names is not respecting her. Anybody who disrespects my mom in such a way shouldn't send me an e-mail saying that she loves me. I'm really sorry dad. I wish you would call me. I'm afraid your new girlfriend took over your life. You don't call me and my sister anymore. You don't even e-mail us. What happened dad? Are we second priority now that you have a new partner?
No matter what happens I'll always remember you as the dad I had when I was 8 years old. The awesome dad that would always be there to make me laugh and get me what I always wanted.
I'm graduating next year. I guess now you have better things to do, huh?
It's okay. I'm already used to it. Mom gives enough love for me and my sister. If you ever change your mind, know that you have a special place in my heart for the awesome dad I used to know.
