instead of "i like you" in the note, you could find something you both like and write, (or say)
"hey i heard you like (such and such), me too! maybe we can talk about it sometime
here is my email!"
you know? i mean that would come off more as, we have stuff in common, we should hang out sometime, instead of "OMG I LUB YOU!" hehehe.
