White Rabbit Costume

I want to be the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland for Halloween. I'll be making the costume myself (sewing, reconstructing clothes). I want the costume to be kinda sexy, but very high fashion.

I'm going to have a plain button up shirt, with a striped vest on top, (hopefully the kind that has the little tailcoat things?) I don't know about the pants, though. I was thinking pantaloons, but I'm not sure. And I have no idea about shoes!

Any ideas would be great!

Their white rabbit has that black and white checkered scarf - maybe if you want to be 'high fashion' you could have one of those square scarves that seem to be in fashion lately like this


and I think pantaloons would be good, reminds me of Dandy style lolita
