Sure!

If it were done when 'tis done, then 'twere well
It were done quickly. If th' assassination
Could trammel up the consequence and catch
With his surcease success, that but this blow
Might be the be-all and the end-all here,
But here, upon this bank and [shoal] of time,
We'dj ump the life to come. But in these cases
We still have judgment here, that we but teach
Bloody instructions, which, being taught, return
To plague th' inventor. This even-handed justice
Commends th' ingredience of our poisoned chalice
To our own lips. He's here in double trust:
First, as I am his kinsman and his subject,
Strong both against the deed; then, as his host,
Who should against his murderer shut the door,
Not bear the knife myself. Besides, this Duncan
Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been
So clear in his great office, that his virtues
Will plead ike angels, trumpet-toungued, against
The deep damnation of his taking-off;
And pity, like a naked newborn babe
Striding the blast, or heaven's cherubin horsed
Upon the sightless couriers of the air,
Shall blow the horrid deed in every eye,
That tears shall drown the wind. I have no spur
To prick the sides of my intent, but only
Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself
Anda falls on th' other side.

I switched schools when we were supposed to read this. My old school was just going to start it and the school I transferred to just finished reading it. At the time I was pretty happy since it meant less work, but now I kind of wish I learned about it. Now if I would try to read it, I would not understand ;-;

basically he is deciding whether or not to kill Duncan and the pros and cons. Here he is saying that he shouldn't kill Duncan because any bad things you do will come back to haunt you (' return To plague th' inventor.'). Then he is saying that as his host and kinsman, he should be looking out for him and not plotting to kill him. Then he says that Duncan has been a good king and his actions are praiseworthy, he has always been fair and stuff, so killing him would purely be a selfish thing, doing it because he himself wants to be king.

i hope that helped at all?
xx

Macbeth >< Ewie. I had to read that last year for English. Now Othello this yr T___T

I am totally dependent on No Fear Shakespeare. It gives the modern translation line by line~ <3
