I voted 'pink' because it's my favorite color. Although the two seem very alike on the forum, pink and purple.

Ahhhh,if you scroll down to the very bottom of AJ main forum page,on the left corner you can change the colours!This poll isn't running cause they chose to have both options!>.<
And lots of people like the pink here,that's why it's the default one...
