The only downside to the data loss is building back up to 50 posts.

yeah this is what i thought...

i think asiajam has been handling this situation so well... someone might have just taken down the whole forum >.<

but i think we should just go with the flow.. outfit contest should be re-made but other than that I think people should just keep posting as they did in the past ^^

I love this forum, probably because there's a feeling of togetherness and we all love each other~<3 (cheesy way of describing it? ;D) anyways ASIAJAM FORUMS IS SPECIAL~~

This may be a stupid or silly idea, or its probably the same as the SOLD! section, but if people model their asiajam clothes (or any other awesum clothes for that matter) like in a magazine spread with props and background themes so it looks all professional or something, we can all promote the asiajam stuff, get to know each other, etc. Sorry if i don't make any sense

So...just wondering, what are the odds that something like this will happen again? I think that's probably a big reason why some people don't want to join again. Because they're afraid that they'll build up their accounts again and then this will happen all over.

The only ideas I can think of to rebuild this forum is for everyone to start a lot of new interesting threads and for people to start using the reputation thingy to build up each others reputations again.

As if you'd stop going on a forum just because some of their data got erased?! These things happen from time to time.... but I don't think its going to cause much of a problem.

I just had another idea...but I'm not quite sure what the idea is!
Something along the lines of a thread that catches everyone up on what's happened this year so far. Like a timeline of things that happened on the forum this year. With things like who won what contests and what big changes were made to the forum and things that the jammers have done this year (like trips or something) that they had wrote about in a thread that was lost.

I re registered, and I have dial up so it takes for ever for everything to load,
but I really like this site even though i made new friendsand everything, but who says we can't do this all again?

I don't know if somebody said this before, but I remember there was a thread where we posted how to contact us, and where we have acounts (like LJ, fACEBOOK, tWITTER, etc)

I think it would be greatto have this thread again, and if I'm not wrong it was created on 2009 so it's not here anymore

I think it's rebuilding itself quite naturally though.

I once left a forum because of something like this but it was a very different case, I mean the thing was offline more times than online, and they kept erasing important posts all the time so you never knew what was gonna be lost every time the thing went offline.

This? This is just an accident, and you shouldn't feel bad about it. I re registered as soon as I could and I'm not about to get lost just because of something like this.

Any rules that got updated or added before the loss, should be fixed.
So if you guys remember any please let us mods know, so we can update them.

I only remember one garage sale rule about how many times you can bump your sale thread. I would have updated the rules for that but I can't remember the exact number and if it was per day/week/month etc.

It's a shame we lost so much of our forum, but it isn't the end of the world. As long as AsiaJam is still alive, it's fine. You guys may lose some Jammers here at the forum, but don't forget, you still have a whole bunch of loyal AsiaJammers backing you guys up

I remember the Ulzzang style thread was HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!

(okay, I just searched and found another Ulzzang thread, but that one is more about the make-up/transformation where the thread I'm talking about was about the clothes and personal info on many types of Ulzzangs.)

Also, Ganji Style thread was quite large...

I'm thinking about re-posting the thread on Ly-Na pearl cream.
It lists the safe and unsafe versions of Ly-Na.
I'm not sure if enough people are interested in it to still contribute to the thread.

I think it will end up being ok, its not like it crashes regularly.
I had a forum a long time ago that crashed like 5 times but I had really great members that stuck by it and helped rebuild it everytime.
well, by the 5th time people started getting annoyed and leaving but it was so few that it wasn't even noticeable.
