Group Orders Not Allowed

Dear Jammers,

After a series of discussions, we have decided that effective today, all group order activities visible in this forum will be halted.

AsiaJam Forum no longer allows group orders but feel free to do it privately. All group order threads will be locked. If you have any ongoing dealings, please PM the organizer.

We don't want to! But we have to

AsiaJam is a business and by allowing group orders (which are becoming more and more frequent), we are distracting business away from AsiaJam. Do we really want to pay/host a forum and sway people away from us? The business answer is no. Afterall, it is business that sustains this forum. So we hope hope hope all of you understand that while we do not forbid you from doing group orders, group orders should not be visible in this forum.

i understand why we cant have group orders on AJ for clothes, accessories, etc, etc.. but how about nail art or circle lens..? AJ doesnt sell those..

Sorry, none are allowed. All group orders are not allowed.

i am curious, why did people want to organize group purchases? is it because most foreign sites only deal with foreign market on a wholesale bases?

It makes sense. But does group orders really reduce the amount of sales that takes place in AJ? AJ clothes are unique and doesnt appear anywhere else.

I was thinking about that myself.
now that I can't be in grouporders I make orders myself. so I still get the clothing. or people do grouporders by pm's.

We don't have concrete statistics/evidence to relate sale slowdowns to group orders. However, yes, we do believe it can be a factor and may be potentially dangerous for our business in the long run.

Thank you. However, when consumers decide where to spend their dollars, many other factors are taken into consideration.

Sure, we have no intention to stop anyone from shopping where they please. We simply do not want to spend our time, money and effort trying to increase traffic into our site, only to bring the business somewhere else by hosting group orders for other competitors. This is not fair for us as a business and I hope you understand.
