Default Hairhairhair!

I know it was a similiar thread for a little while ago, but that didn't help me ><

I have very thin hair, and I've started to think alot about taking extensions, because I want long and thick hair. But I'm wondering: Is it best to use clip-on's or sew them on etc? And can you sew them on by yourself? My dad is very sceptical to all the things I'm doing with my hair, (I dyed it about five times without telling him x)) and he is _definatly not helping me with money to go to a salon, so is it some alternative for doing it at home? My mom may help me, but I think it's a little bit embarrassing too ask xD Don't know why.

Does anyone know an online shop to buy extensions, too a good price?

Or is it something to make your hair thicker? Like a mousse or something x)

Hi there!

I have thin hair as well, but recently I've managed to make it grow and appear a bit thicker with techniques that do not require any product, extensions, hair dye etc. They are little techniques, but I find them very effective! ^^

First, what's very important is to take care of your hair! Don't let unnecessary hair fall out. Personally, I manage this by:

1. Washing my hair every two days/less if you can do so. (but my hair is oily fast so every 2 days is my limit! ._.)

2. Letting my hair dry naturally after washing so that heat from the hairdryer does not damage my hair and cause it fall out

3. Only brushing my hair two times a day and if I'm going somewhere windy, I tie up my hair to prevent tangling.

4. If you really must blow dry your hair, do it about 15 minutes after because hair is tender straight after washing.

Now, enough about ways to prevent hair loss, another way to make your hair appear thicker is to layer it! But don't go nuts because layering too much will thin out your hair.

I layer my hair so that I have several short layers at the top and thinner hair at the bottom. This makes it look like I have thick hair. (but all I did was thin out the bottom) And rest assured, it's not a mullet! :'D

So yeah. If your parents are not fond of product/extensions and stuff then hopefully my tips can help. C:

Oh, and btw, can you post a picture of your hair or something that looks like it? I'm thinking of cutting my hair soon, and it seems pretty nice ^^

Sure. ^^

I don't have a tripod or anything to take some clear pictures of my own hair, but I got my inspiration from the following images:

Can you see that they have short layers at the top and thin at the bottom? o:

Good luck with your hair cut! But if anything goes wrong, remember that (luckily), hair grows!
