Can't Eat...?

I have a problem [I think].
It's been going on for a while - I can't stomach my food. I mean - well it's not that I through up, but after all the meals I eat I feel incredibly nauseous.

I was wondering - does anyone have any suggestions to help this stop or does anyone know if this is in any way normal?
Should I go see my doctor?

Also after working out I'm never hungry - but I think this is normal...?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I agree ... That sounds as if it could be serious!

When I was about 10, I had the exact same problem ... But only with breakfast and lunch, supper I was fine with. But if I tried to eat cereal in the morning, it's like my throat closed and my stomach clenched up ... I just couldn't do it.

It went away after awhile, but you should still see your own doctor, just in case ...

Yeah thats what it's like! Like if I eat in the morning - and supposedly you have to eat a big breakfast, decent lunch, light dinner - I have to force myself to swallow. I'm just NOT hungry and if I eat I feel sick!

Only problem is I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow...

I had that issue off and on through my later teen years, but I found it to be most specifically a side effect of certain medications I was on. If you're on The Pill, some brands play havoc with you, including removing your appetite. Although plenty of other medications can have the same effect. I have had several different types do this to me. If you aren't on medication, a regular check up with your doctor is always good. Best to be safe.

Ah thanks, I'm not on "The Pill" lol. But now that you mention it I have to take A LOT of medication for other things such as asthma, allergies, yadda yadda so that could definitely be a possibility!

if you say you're on medication, perhaps these are affecting your digestion, are any of these antibiotics ? i often felt sick after eating when i had to take antibiotics (although not incredibly sick). asthma, allergies medication i don't think would affect ?

uu anyway i agree i think you should go see a doctor. i don't think it will be likely very serious, but it's better to be safe than sorry (and sort it out so you don't have to deal with it anymore)

Are you on a diet or something ??? if you are and ate something more than you're used to you might throw up .. that happens to me when i've been dieting for a long time ..

uuumm.. if that's not the reason .. maybe you're eating food your body can't digest ..

like everyone else said you should visit the doctor njust to be sure ..

I HIGHLY suggest doctor... I had the same problems in fourth grade except mine DID involve throwing up. And a lot of it. It turned out I had appendicitis and needed surgery... >.<

Just to be safe, check with the doctor Better safe than sorry.

I get that problem... it makes me worry because my cousin had this disease where it gets hard to digest anything without pain so she ate anorexic amounts just because it hurt so much. Sometimes I start to worry if I'm gonna get that...

Not to worry you though, I'm just worried cause it's in my family but sometimes I get the same thing, where I just can't eat anything. Sometimes whatever I eat comes straight back up, at its worst... maybe you have an allergy? Try cutting out dairy products, or wheat maybe, also I had asthma and eczema in the past and my doctor told me to try cutting out dairy for one of those but I can't remember which... might help your asthma, possibly.

If it's only a recent thing you might have a stomach ulcer or something? I don't know... but if you see a doctor they'll give you proper advice Good luck!

Oh, and the thing about working out, that's normal - I get it too. I can't remember what the logic was but that's nothing to worry about

I'm not dieting, but my diet might be considered a bit... abnormal.

When I began I felt fine, but I could barely finish it. It feeling like something was stuck in my throat as well a nausea. I really don't know what make of it . actually i have the same problem.my friends say im skinny as a toothpick right now.after a month i started not to feel good i was really pale and i was sick off of school for 2-weeks i went to the docter and she couldnt do anything so i hade to get blood work done then we found out that my iron,blood and my blood suger was really really down. it's still really down right now the docter gave me medication but everytime i take it i throw it up we tried like 4 diffrent kinds already and it still wont work but i'm getting better the docter said. i'm still not eating though i'm never hungry.
