Yeah, me too. I say dut yi.
lol. >_<

Bah. -goes into cantonese mode with extremely bad pinyin-
ngo ho jong yi tai Gokusen.

Bleh. I hear cantonese doesn't have an official 'pinyin' anyway. =D

I googled up "Dut yee".
[Just a post from a Member on a Other forum.]

"Kawaii in Canto can be Dut Yee or Hor Oi.
Hor oi is the real saying while Dut Yee is the Slang-ish way."

I also though "Dut yee" meant Funny, but in a Cute way. >w<;;
[Which I always pronounced wrong, I pronounced it like 'Dat yee']

Cantonese has Jyutping neh?

Yeah, jyutping. Or whatever. xD Haha, that was the word. I hear it was made like forever ago so it isn't "up-to-date" and "official." Whatever. lmao.

I've never heard of anyone use hor oi. >_>
i thought funny was "ho sew" or something.

wo xue zhong wen (mando) Cantonese is too hard LOL. There are more tones in Canto then Mando and I can,t pronounce Canto words right. I am Dutch (heh heh, so white) and find that langue really intresting, I like how everything sounds. The school I go to that teaches Chinese is Taiwanese so everyone has those cute little accents. Anyone know what I am talking about? My favirote chinese word has to be "ai' love. Wo Ai Ni ( I love you). My favirote jing su yu is Ai bie ren ru zi ji jiang wo xin bi ta xin :3 But I have to admit my pronounciation sucks, only certian people understand me

Qing ni zai shuo!
^Useful phrase to ask people to repeat something.

我 喜欢 你。
wo xihuan ni.
I like you.

你 说 什 么?
ni shuo shenme?
What did you say?

对 不 起。
dui bu qi.
Sorry.

谢 谢。
xie xie.
Thank you.

^-^;;;
I'm learning Chinese too. I love this language. The grammar is confusing though.
