What is User Reputation? Read this.
The User Reputation system allows AsiaJam members to leave comments about one anothers' posts, and thereby contribute to their overall 'reputation'.
User Reputation in its simplest form is a ranking of a user's benefit to the AsiaJam Forum. Its basis comes from the opinions of all of you Jammers that choose take part in it.
Users gain and lose reputation based on how their posts are scored by other forum participants. Users with the ability to affect reputation, will either give or take aways points by approving or disapproving with a post's content.

When you mouse over their 'Green Indicator' you'll see their reputation.

Here's the AsiaJam levels:
- -500, User is infamous around these parts
- -50, User can only hope to improve
- -10, User has a little shameless behaviour in the past
- 0, User is an unknown quantity at this point
- 10, User is on a distinguished road
- 25, User will become famous soon enough
- 50, User has a spectacular aura about
- 100, User is a jewel in the rough
- 200, User is just really nice
- 300, User is a glorious beacon of light
- 400, User is a name known to all
- 500, User is a splendid one to behold
- 1000, User has much to be proud of
- 1500, User has a brilliant future
- 2000, User has a reputation beyond repute
Actually the longer you have been at AsiaJam, the more power you have to take/give reputation points. Whenever you click on the 'Scale' and approve of a post or disapprove of it, you'll be awarding the poster ONE point or taking away ONE point.
Buy use it wisely.
Give a positive only if you think the post is GOOD.
Give a negative only if you think the post is JUNK, SPAMMY like, or worse.
DON'T give anything if it's just idle chit chat.
Used properly we'll have a self-governing society going.

On the main page of the Control Panel there's a chart, below your Subscribed Threads, of all of your posts that have received reputation (and a reason why, if entered).

Go to the post, click on the blueish-gray scale on the other side of the users name (top right hand corner) and you should get a window that asks your opinion on the post. |
