Default READ: Posting Guidelines

Hello and welcome to AsiaJam.com Forum!

This forum is intended to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for the AsiaJam.com community. Rules are no fun but in order to maintain stability and a sense of community, all users should read the following posting guidelines. By participating in this forum, users are affirming their willingness to comply with these terms. Thank you for your cooperation! We appreciate it

1- NEW!: No multiple identities/accounts
Each user can only maintain ONE (1) identity/account/username in the forum. If you need to create a new identity because of lost password, username or e-mail address, older identities cannot be used to post messages in the forum. Users can be tracked through their IP address so there is no escape! Users found violating this guideline will be warned and may be suspended from the monthly lucky draw or forum till further notice.

2- Post in the Appropriate Forum
Please read each forum description before making a post to ensure you are on-topic. Off-topic posts will be moved to the correct forum.

3- Subject Must Contain Gist of Thread *except Introduction
Ensure your subject contains the gist of what you want to say when making a new topic. This makes browsing through thousands of threads easier and friendlier for everyone. Example of appropriate subjects: 'Favorite TV show' , 'Where can I get a strawberry headband?' , 'Check out my outfit to prom'. Example of inappropriate subjects: 'What is your...' , 'A question' , 'Look at me'. Moderators have the right to modify inappropriate subjects without prior notice.

Quote:
FAQ: Can I use subjects that contain expressions and smileys like: 'Making a bag -- I did it!!!' , 'Wow the best game ever! '
Answer: Yes you can! As long as it summarizes your thread into a few words, you're on the right track
4- Keep Signature Images below 400 x 100
If you decide to include an image in your signature, keep it below 400 pixels in width and 100 pixels in height. No exceptions! You can only post a link (URL) to your signature if you have at least 100 posts.

5- No Personal Insults or Attacks
Please be polite and respectful towards other members of the community, and remember that others may not always share your point of view. Disruptive, offensive or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. This is a sensitive area and the Forum Moderators reserve the right to take action if requested by a community member. Any such posting may result in removal of post, banning from future participation or having their ISP informed.

6- Avoid Flammable Topics
Please be aware that certain topics, such as religion and politics, can excite members to ‘flame’ each other. Such topics may most likely be closed unless care is taken to keep the discussion both interesting and polite.

7- No Duplicate or Repeat Posts
Do not post your questions or comments over and over again, or in other words, please do not spam. No one likes being spammed, it’s just downright annoying.

8- Do Not Make Image Heavy Posts
We encourage posts with images but keep it to a reasonable number and size. Should any member of the community report a post to be image heavy, the Forum Moderators have the right and may remove such posts.

for the last one, what if there are a lot of images, but the images are small, would that still be considered image heavy?

I don't think that would matter. Large images take a LOT longer to load than even a bunch of small ones. So I think you're okay on that.

I don't think so. This rule means that you are not allowed to create a new user. One person, one username.

I believe this rule was implemented because some psychos create usernames to be a poser. lol.

I don't think they will ban you after seeing you got 2 accounts on the same IP, I'm guessing they figured out that you got another family member using that PC. As long as your "family" don't create like 10 accounts your fine.

And about the Internet café no need to worry. The rules were implying that you don't create several account and if you just login at someone else's computer that isn't creating
