Re: Rainbow Swap Box Posting.
Yesterday I got a note in my mail box, saying that a package had arrived for me. Instant big grin. So, I went to the post office and picked it up after school today - and if it wasn't from suzushii!
Along came a letter:
And a suuupercute drawing. Haha, now I know how my package was made:
And the stuff!
Red - headband and teddy bear... thingie? To be honest, I didn't quite figure out what the teddy bear thingie was, but it's sure cute!
Yellow - hair clips shaped as staaaars~ <3
Green - more hair clips and A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E. top!
Blue - button-shaped hair clips and earrings ^^ They both smell lovely from lying in that soap container, haha!
Violet - hair clips ^^
Pink - even more of those wonderful star-shaped hair clips, and omg, a tie! >w< I've never worn one in my life, but always wanted to! Now you just gave me the perfect opportunity, suzushii! <3
In addition, I got three cute dessert-shaped erasers :3
I'm so superhappy with everything I got! So much of the things I like (such as stars, slightly punky stuff, hair clips, bright colours etc.) Thank you so much, suzushii! You're absolutely super!

Re: Rainbow Swap Box Posting.
Yaaay, you like it! And it arrived (it's the first package I ever sent, and I was superworried it would get lost on the way)!
Haha, I was going to explain the red thingie after you got the package. It's actually part of the headband (you can slide it on) so you can wear the headband simple or with the bear . I took it off so it wouldn't break during transit.
The erasers were the stuff for the dreaded colour orange :P (if you look closely one of the eraser cookies has a sort of orangey shell? Total stretch I know :P)
And the top... I was browsing for more cute stuff and I entered a clothes shop, even though I thought, hey, how could I find something around my price range here. But then I thought, who knows, and I saw it on sale and snatched it! I was worried you wouldn't like it since it's summery, but it could be worn with a cardie or something.

Aha, so that's what it is! Thanks for clearing things up for me
And I know all about the difficulties regarding the colour orange... In my case, the orange item I sent you was supposed to be the stickers
Yeah, it's no problem wearing it with something else And I'll be going to Spain again in spring, so I'll definitely bring it with me then

Re: Rainbow Swap Box Posting.
I have to do some reshopping. my box got opend by the postal office and they retuned it to me because of it. the customs don't ship things out in a state like that. (our mailing system in holland open packages randomly.. or mail. just when the workers think there is some value things in it. (like jewelry and money)
Im also going to mail my swappartner.

Re: Rainbow Swap Box Posting.
I'm starting to dislike the post office very much .
The package that I sent my partner, came back the first time kind of beaten up/torn so I had to re-package it again and resend it. NOW, it seems that the package hasn't even arrived to her yet and the whole 6-10 day thing is definately up. The entire thing is out of my hand now since I don't have the package anymore. So I'm guessing it was either lost, or stolen .
I think that i will most likely have to reshopping and create another package. I have no problem with doing this though. It may take a week, but this time, I am putting insurance on it so if anything happens they take the blame.

Re: Rainbow Swap Box Posting.
urban.star.dust: that's too bad What's up with the US postal service?? I got so angry the time when I had ordered a scrubs set (working clothes), and the package had been cut open, the shirt inside had a big hole in it because of that >_<

Re: Rainbow Swap Box Posting.
It seems a lot of postal people are really annoying as of late. The people at my postal service are really fudging annoying. Apparently, a strike was avoided with Canada Post, but that doesn't make their service any better.
I went to get a package in my name one day, and they asked for ID, so I gave them my Visa Card. Then they said that they needed photo ID, so I gave them my student card, which is the only photo ID I carry around. Then, they said it wasn't good enough, and threatened to with-hold both peices of ID because apparently, I'm too young to have my own Visa.
Then, after I threatened to call the cops for theft, they gave back my ID. Then I went home and got my mother. She bitched their whole staff out for almost half an hour before she made sure it was me who signed for the package. Now I use the downtown shipping location specifically. >>

Does anyone know if there will be another Swap Box event happening again, or something like it?
