Default Stop receiving email notifications

Heya, is there a way of disabling email notifications for whenever we make a post or receive replies in our threads? I saw in control panel that there's a tick box for receiving emails from admin or something, but i don't think it's related (is it?).

I don't mind receiving emails for PM's and stuff, but since im quite an active user on this forum i end up getting a million notification emails for my posts etc lol ~ok, not quite THAT much

Well, hope this makes sense (ive still got a cold and my head still hurts so cant really think straight )... and sorry if this has been mentioned before (blame the cold)

there is a way. I remember I once didn't got them.. I freaked out.. but now.. Im kinda happy I don't get any anymore XD my mailbox would be full everyday.

anyways.. back to your question.

first go to: USER CP
then go to: EDIT OPTIONS
there you'll find: Default Thread Subscription Mode.
in that area you'll find a box where you can get emails.
you can choose:

- instant.
- daily.
- weekly.
- or no notifications.

you can pick the one you like ^^

good luck and get better!!

ok, i still get some emails, but only for threads ive subscribed to (im guessing you automatically subscribe to a thread once you've made a post). Anyway, seems like the only way to stop the emails is to unsubscribe to a thread and if necessary re-subscribe to it, this time ensuring that you select the 'no email notification' option.

cant really see a way of changing that besides unsubscribing then re-subscribing... make sense?? ^^

if you go to user CP you can directly unsubscribe to the threads you want ^^
so you have to unsubcribe and then press the notification option. =)
