I think there's a lot of categories already, but I really support the IM SO ANGRY forum! I so want one like that, I have an incredible amount of things that I'm angry about! And I would post in hobbies and games. Hobbies and games are fun. But isn't gaming sort of an hobby, though?

what about a Writing Corner?
people can post poems, random writings, or perhaps have people critique their rough draft of a school assignment.

hmm... how about not?
I mean, I guess we can, but we should try to leave stressful thing such as school assignments at school or home. Social forums should be a place to just forget about all that no-fun stuff just talk about other things to take our busy minds off of stressful stuff. eh??

Some people actually ENJOY writing though, don't you think? IT's like an interest or hobby like art, mountain biking, etc... and would not consider it work... |

it would be for opinions on school assignments- if anyone actually would post any. and it wouldn't be like a major schoolwork thing, just a writing corner where you could write anything- schoolwork included. and many people enjoy writing, like cool said. and if you don't like the idea then you wouldn't have to necessarily type it in. there are categories in asiajam that i don't type in.

It bugs me a little bit that there's a Japanese Chat and a Chinese Chat, but NO Korean Chat! I think there should be one. ^^

Oh my goodness, there's so many suggestions. xD; A lot of them are great! But ... I stick to my original opinion that it's gonna look really crowded and overdone if we add too many. x.x;;;

You should have only a couple of categories like Mallory said... Too much get's overwhelming. heres the categories i suggest..
1. Culture
2. Deep Stuff. (like writing and ranting on about something your angry about)
3. Fashion talk
4. Art
5. Health (people can post their diet suggestions)
6. Genereal Discussion.
some of them are already on it. but i feel overwhelmed even right now.. so my suggestion in only have 1- 4 topics in category.
i think i could handle 8 categories. but i dunno about more than that.

haha that website DOES have a lot but i actually really like some of their categories, like:
-Question of the Day (even though we kind of do that stuff already in jammer's lounge)
-The Bookshelf (they talk about storybooks, authors, lit.) I still recommend a "Writer's Corner" lol.
-Debate (they debate controversial issues). i think this is really neat but it might bring some controversy between us ourselves :/
-Eat, Drink, and Be Merry (recipes!)

Well, I know that one thing that customers aren't particularly fond of is the fact that they rarely restock items. So, why not have a "Petition Forum/Category" so that members can give their input on wether or not they would buy a certain item if it were to be restocked? It's just a rough idea but with some effort it might be something that would really benefit AsiaJam and help it grow as a company...maybe?

i was just browsing the jammer's lounge thread, and there seems to be an awful lot of posts in "just say anything". maybe it'd be helpful to have just a general chit chat category, for random comments/statements to be made.
i also like the idea of debates
