New forum categories - please suggest!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls!

I am thinking of creating more forum categories for AsiaJam. Your input in this regard is mucho appreciated.

Sounds good! Although ... Personally, I find it overwhelming and confusing when there's too many categories.

Already it's a little confusing for newbies, what with General Fashion, Your Runway, and Sold.

So yusss ... I was going to suggest a Gothic And Lolita forum, but I've decided not to. xD; Like I said ... I think it's confusing for newbies and non-newbies alike! x.o;

I believe someone suggested a Korean section once before? I don't really know any other good ideas, however.

Ehh I vote no so far to all the categories suggested, like mallorymaloney said, I think it might be too cluttered to add.

The only category that I think would be a good idea to add is maybe a "Contest" section? Like move the picture contest out of Jammer's Lounge and maybe get more asiajam forum contests involving other things?

to be honest, i think the categories that already exist cover a lot of relevant areas. like what ppl have said, adding more will just make the forum more cluttered. for e.g. cosplay ...this will only really appeal to some members, so having it as a separate category might be bit of a waste. plus it goes under japanese chat anyway or general fashion talk ..

hmmm im saying that the forum's fine as it is now ..but i might come up with something later

How about an art forum? I've notice quite a few people here are artist, including myself .

and i also like the "games" section that cool suggested. or maybe Hobbies or something?

I think it would be great if there was a "Links" category! A place where we can post up other great sites on fashion, food, whatever...it would certainly make a great directory seeing as there are already a lot of references to websites that are scattered all over the place.

What kind of links category would you suggest? I could probably work on a proper resource section. Perhaps you can show some example directories that i can copy from??

-Fun Stuff
-Free Stuff

Hmm. Here's some of the categories I can think of:

1. Apparel websites
2. Crafts (How-tos, DIYs)
3. Recipes and Foods
4. Tutorials, Graphics, Kao-ani, layouts, and other tools for web designing (like myspace, LJ..)
5. A "Kawaii" category, where people can put random cute finds and photos here.

And because a large portion of community members have expressed interest in Japan's lolita, decora, punk fashion...
6. J-webshops and shopping services
7. YouTube videos!

i like all of katz's and i like these:

1) games
2) health (since many topics seem to be based on this)
3) just for fun! (links to random things, sort of like katz's mentioned miscellaneous).
4) enertainment (video/ CD stores; YouTube videos, like katz mentioned)

i think there should be an IM SO ANGRY forum. where we can vent about dudes, (or ladehs) school, teachers, etc, parents, siblings, family, etc, rude strangers.... the list could go on. your own personal psychiatrist.

We can like talk about music we like and post links to a site where we could here the music or get the ringtones so that we share our faves with the rest of the Jammers???

Also:
TV section
Food section
(discussing any show ever created and aired on TV)
(where we can Rant and Rave about local food hot spots)

what about just a "Picture" category? where we can post pictures of nearly anything...clothes we like, celebrities, funny things, etc. that way there wouldn't be so many random pictures spread out everywhere.
