^God those pictures made me want to go back to Japan so badly. *_*
anyway...yeah I know! I've seen girls in Japan who weren't rail-thin but had some meat on their bones, which made them look attractive and actually WELL-FED. D
Yet another hand is raised, I'm a chubby Chinese girl! BUT PEH! MY HEIGHT IS CONSIDERED TO BE AT LEAST A 20 YEAR OLDS IN CHINA!! TAKE THAT!
I am 15 years old, around 5'5.

It is true people are heavier in america in comparison to everywhere. To debate why is not dealing with the issue that Plus Sizes now are big bussiness. You are going to go no where when debating why someone in america is fat, its like debating why someone in africa is darker.
We are products of the things around us and our food industry that is finding out just now things we eat that become habit and tradition are unhealthy.
It would be wise for asiajam to get in the plussize trend. You can advertise the same way and get a lot more capitol for the same style. I suggest they make some one size fits plus jr (1x to 2x) and one size fits plus (3x to 4x) and sell some test peices on ebay.
Its not about dressing skimpy but dressing trendy and within your level of style whether it be goth, cosplay, harajuku etc etc.
and as for no fat people in asia there are some.. In the phillipines I know several girls who are considered american size 22... and in Japan there is actually a special salon bar that has only girls over size american 16.
So they exist they just have a hard time.. like american overweight girls used too. Everything they will get is probably fit for men or older people and is not very trendy.

Hey well I think that Asiajam is actually starting to sell larger clothing...They sold this dress and it was a size Medium - Large. And there were these jeans which went up to size Extra Large! I only noticed those two but yeah...I think that Asiajam is starting to bring in more plus size clothing~~

LOL Large and Extra large are hardly plus size. Large and Extra Large are average for most overweight western americans. Plus sizes are beyond that

ahh, i'm around 5"2 and my other asian friends are a little shorter than me, and we always try to be taller, I think you should be happy to be taller! You don't really need to do the tip-toeing thing to kiss your bf
ooh and oh yeah, leggings and skirt don't really appeal to me on AsiaJam 'cause I don't want to buy something that is way too tiny, and if I did, it'll be super depressing, so yeah, more range of sizes, please!!

I agree muchly.
One of my friends wants to buy a bunch of stuff from here. She doesn't fit into any of anything.
She's not chubby. She's just voluptuous.
Get bigger clothes. D:

That's the point though, I don't even neccesarily want plus sizes just like not so small sizes.

I've only had to buy a plus size once when it was the material that was weird (lol. I blame the material, but really it was)
I felt...self-conscious in that plus section....Lol.

There are some places to get clothing for larger girls in Asian countries, but I think you have to look. Although nearly all Asian celebrities and such are very thin, it's not true of all Asian girls or young people. I was surprised by the number of quite chubby girls I saw in Taiwan; but they all dressed pretty cutely too. I wonder where they are getting them from?

I agree even though I lost some weight and i could probably fit into a lot of the stuff but when i was 20 pounds heavier it was so difficult to find things that fit me and it would be awesome if they could make bigger sizes. I think they should make medium-larges because thats what a lot of people are.

i'm short too! WOOT!! and i'm only half!! and i'm not skinny skinny either!
note: girls overseas are smaller and more petite in size because they exercise as a way of transportation. if america were the same way and didnt drive as many cars, we'd all be as skinny and healthy as them. and vice-versa. if they were in our situation, they'd be as bad as we are. so dont feel so bad about it.
