where it all ges about... asiajam can't carry bigger sizes because they simple don't make them, the normal person in asia is way thinner and smaller than people in western countries.

1.) Yes, it's true...I get rides from my parents coz our house is like...a 15 minute drive away, however, some people live close enough, and a lot of them would prefer to get a ride from their parents. However...around here, its for different reasons, because during the winter time, no one wants to have their kids walking outside with a windchill of 15 degrees.
2.) Yup. My little sister is more petite than me, but a bit chubbier, so she's kinda...eh. She can't fit into a lot of the freesize clothing.

no way! I have a friend that lived 12 km away from our school. that means.. she needed to drive on a bike 45 till 60 minutes. and wen I went to her.. we sometimes decided to visit a other friend that lives 5 km away from me. meaning we needed to drive over 17 km. XD
15 degrees celcius?? probably not ^__^ haha.
well, that's a different reason. but some people really take a car to mail a letter and all.. while you could do it by walking?? O__O
allthough.. it's not really weird. the boy next door.. (I dislike him XD) was in the same class.. and he went with his scooter to school. and our school was only 5 min. away on a bike.. LOSER XD LOL
I personally prefer the bike more that a car. but on really long distance I take a car. XD (not to that friend of mine.. since going with bike is coowl!)

ugh, worse still is when the kids sneak onto the bus when they live like, 8 minutes away from the school and the kids who live 40 minutes away have to be squashed into the seats. but i know that when it's warm enough then even the kids who live 40 minutes away prefer to walk home.
anyways, besides diet and exercise, most asians genetically have a smaller body, right? like, their bone structure.
and also, i think the reason people use cars and trucks more in north america and in europe people ride their bikes and walk is that i believe everything's alot closer together. because north america is a BIG place, and it's fairly new, so there's alot of room. so people build their houses further away from things and so often have to use cars to get where they want to go. for example, the nearest convenience store to my house is about a 20 minute walk. but when i was visiting relatives in dublin and london, they all had convenience stores about 5 minutes from their house. i think in europe things are just built closer together.

totally true. most asians are also more petite and tiny.
yeah, here in holland.. most things are built together and more close.
yet.. living in the noth of holland.. things are much further away from each other.
but in the swon I saw... people took their car to a mailbox that was just 2 minutes away..... by foot. O__O
not to say that american's are lazy! but I'm still amazed by how lazy those people were. here... they would call you the town's nut if you would do that.

That depends on so much. XD My friend says that, as skinny as I am, I still have "Medium Sized Bones". LOL, I didn't know there was a size. But...yeah, I kinda realized after middle school that being as skinny as me is NOT NORMAL. 5'6" @ 108 LBs is not healthy at all...so I've been trying to put on muscle weight, but it's so hard. T__T But it's better than my cousin in Taiwan. She's like 20 yrs old I think, and she's shorter than me by a bit, 5'3.5", and weighs 41 kilos, which is like...90 lbs here.
Meh. I wish they'd just provide more than freesize on Asiajam. The tops would fit me fine and all, but after figuring out that BWH means bust waist hips, I measured myself, and I really liked this, then found out that my waist is like 24 inches, and my hips are 28 inches. =__= Too big...

Blegh, and then when I'm shopping for clothes in American malls and boutiques, I've found that most clothes that fit me waist-wise (other than those tight skinny jeans) usually, the pant legs are not long enough (NOOO!), and stop short at the lower shins region.
Then don't get me started on school, I have a weak constitution,so if I have gym after lunch, I get sick easily, and want to throw up, so when I get sent down to the nurse, she's always has this look on her face that's all "Does you're mother feed you?!??"

That's scary. But yeah, with the whole my school is like 15 minutes away from my house thing, that's if you drive fast like my parents. It's on the other side of town so...walking would take around one and a half hours. Which I wouldn't mind during the summer time if there were actually sidewalks around where I live. I live by the beach, so they never put in sidewalks because during the summer time, there's so much tourists, so they can't, it'd obstruct the roads to the beach.

lol, pants are always WAY TOO LONG and i have to roll them up sooooo much before they fit. it frutrates me because only gap and old navy sell special pants for people with short legs and they don't really have the greatest pants in my opinion. so i just roll them up because they're so great besides the length. ohhh well.
and wooow, you're three inches taller then me and i'm 10 lbs heavier then you!

I'm not normal. :'< I'm trying so hard to put on some [healthy] weight. And failing....everything I do doesn't build up more muscle, but rather I end up losing more weight. Like over holidays I put on some weight, ended up like 112 LBs, so I tried to change the "fatty tissue" into muscle. I ended up just losing everything I gained instead. <_< But I'm glad i have SOME muscle unlike my cousin. I mean, my god, 90 lbs at almost 5'4" is just SCARY. She looks normal too, which basically tells you that it's all weight from fat tissue...
[Edit]
It's long legs. I get it from my dad's family, the guys in his family all are tall with long legs. The girl's aren't, but its from not eating a lot during their growth period as teens (weight obsessed I tell ya...course with me, I'm weight obsessed but in the opposite way).
xD If anyone has ideas on how to gain weight in a healthy way, drop a PM.

I don't neccessarily think that you can gain a large amount of weight/fat by eating junk food, it just depends on how much of it you eat. Portion control is the main and most important reason why I think other countries (specifically the U.S) have a larger population of "obese" or "overweight" individuals.
I live in the U.S. and I can bet that if you order something from a fast food place, you would never really order just one thing.
Example:
McDonald's-Double Cheeseburger & Small fries
Subway-6 inch sub
Burger King-Whopper & small drink
For us we may not consider this to be alot, but in fact it is a lot. Calories, fat and Carbohydrates. In other countries, this may or may not be cnsidered to be a lot. But have you ever noticed that their meals consist of more fruits, veggies, etc then ours? I even read somewhere that like in France the reason that the female population is thin is because they take the time out to savor their meals. When you do this you tend to become full faster.
I'll admit it, burger king and such is good lol but I try not to go there a lot. And I am not trying to bypass the genetic factors but, I believe that for the majority of the reason for it is that we eat more than realize we should and we don't really take out the time to do a little exercise afterwards (brisk walk, jog, etc).
Just my 2 cents ^^ (no I'm not asian, or a size 0-1 lol)

Re: Chubby girls like fashion too!
ah, fastfood, i remember the good times, i used to eat Mcdonalds, tacobell, etc but not so much in the last couple of years,
my thing is, I'm a shortie!! like pants here would be too long and my big ol' thighs and thick legs forbid me from wearing tights (though I wish) plus my short torso, how i despise myself, but I've been doing some exercises to fit in the clothes offered here, but i do wish there was more options and sizes to select

I always order just one thing . Meaning a Big Mac (because I like it$) and a Coke Zero. But that's maybe once or twice a month and it's a treat.
If I'm really stuck somewhere and I forgot to pack a lunch, I just get a kid's Mc Chicken and a Coke Zero (that's something like 275 calories).
As for the sizes here, I have no problem wearing the tops by their sizes, heck, some are too big. Can't fit most of the pants, I have huge hips . I'm not fat, my BMI is 21 but my hips are wide naturally. I have been working out and the inches are coming off, but sloooooooowly.

Re: Chubby girls like fashion too!
Wanna gain weight, try not to eat fatty foods but eat lots of protein and if you're going to exercise, focus more on muscle toning rather than cardio. You'll need some fats anyway but get it from oily fish and nuts and that sort of thing rather than burgers, otherwise you'll just end up gaining fat and no muscle which isn't much healthier.
Waist 28-30" and hips 30"?? ****ing hell that's completely wrong for me... my hips are about 35" and my waist is 26" or something...
And my thighs are bigger again =\ very curvy I am, but also fat so I want to lose some weight and tone up so that I can actually buy things that fit me, presently I'm size 12 thighs, size 10 hips and size 8 waist or something, UK sizes.
Jeans are my worst nightmare.

Re: Chubby girls like fashion too!
I don't have this problem because I'm underweight but I know what you mean. If I weren't able to fit the sizes then I'd be very unhappy as well. I think that the reason they don't have bigger sizes is because Japanese sizes (from what I know) are small because a lot of Japanese people are smaller then we are over here. At least that's what I've found out from various shopping and info websites.
Please don't kill me if I'm wrong or rude.
