Korean section?
YES! The commonly left out country for some reason...
There should be a section for Koreans, since there's one for Chinese and Japanese! Korea is important, too!

we have all three at my college. but then again we also have farsi & urdu so we have a ton of languages here. i guess it's just a matter of finding a person who can teach korean/is willing to set up an entire curriculum, etc. it's really complicated

Aren't Filipinos considered Pacific Islanders? I know a Malaysian friend of mine was ranting on that he was not Asian, but instead, Pacific Islander.
New Zealanders and Australians are Pacific Islanders, I know that...ha, that's about ALL that I know.

Nah... Filipinos are considered Southeast Asian. There is no "Asian" look... I mean, do Middle Easterners look "Asian"? Do Indians look "Asian"? :P

mmm, i'm filipino. the philippines is in asia, but i wouldn't call myself "asian" though. it's too general. i don't consider myseelf asian really. i'm about as asian as a person from india. indians might as well call themselves indians instead of asian, and filipinos may as well call themselves filipinos. the philippines is part of the malay region anyway.

But you're still Asian since you're considered part of the Asian region rather than the Pacific Islanders AKA Oceania Region. :P

Nope... Philippines may be an island, but it's really close to Taiwan. It's south of Taiwan and north of the Pacific Island countries.

"The term Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander (NHPI) refers to people having origins in any of the indigenous peoples of Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, or other Pacific Islands. They are of Polynesian, Micronesian, and Melanesian cultural backgrounds." It includes people who indicated their race or races as "Native Hawaiian", "Guamanian or Chamorro", "Samoan", or "Other Pacific Islander", or wrote in entries such as Tahitian, Mariana Islander, or Chuukese. (See also: Pacific Islander)"
