I couldn't decide which topic this should go under, as it both includes Asian Culutures and Personal/Relationships. ): So, I just put it here.

In a previous topic, I noticed the mention of how Asian relationships in Dramas are often innocent and naive. They are very hesitant about showing affection and very immature about how they announce their feelings. This got me to thinking about it further, and then I remembered how in certain cultures the bride and grooms family give each other gifts and money. And about whether or not in other cultures sex is very open and not so much shunned, like in a lot of European countries and America.

Asians don't talk about sex. Parents don't talk about sex. Asian friends don't talk to Asian friends about sex. sex is off limits in conversation.



But all that is changing.

It's pretty funny seeing how open Asia is about sex. There are condom megastores, love hotels, host & hostess bars, etc...so obviously not all of Asia are uptight or innocent.

There are the same stereotypes in Asia like any country in the west: there are sluts, players, smooth talkers, teases, innocent, naive, etc.
