Uptight or Loose??

around where i live there is such a vast difference between peoples attitudes and aspects of life

some are really uptight and are in bed by 8pm and in church on Sundays
some are really loose and they drink themselves to death and have unprotected sex etc...
its all so wierd cuz in my 'community' some people have no scruples and some people have to many

Is there a happy medium?

Does anyone live in a place where everyones uptight or everyones loose?
Whats it like if everyone thinks alike im guessing there is less conflict?!

I think most people in my 'area' are looser. There of course are the more uptight, or should I say... disciplined? XD
I feel this place is kinda medium actually overall. I mean, there are stuff like rumors about people "going around" (akahavingsexwithalotofpeople) at school and then the "she might be pregnant OMG" kind of stuff. And there are a lot of people who do drugs or whatever (outside of school or they ditch class and do it, I dunno). But not everyone is bad here. It's not like the school is terrible, because it's not hah;; People just usually keep to themselves actually. As in there aren't any riots and the like. Well, occasional fights but yeah. That's expected ^^;
Rules (for dress code or whatever) at our school aren't so tight/highly enforced either. There will be bouts of enforcing now and then but yeah.
I have a weird community.. o_O

i dont think there is alot of uptight people here, hmm kinda depends on what part of london im talking about because its all abit different ^_^
uptight people= old people

or the posh snobs
i only have one/two friend(s) that are supposed to go church but i dont think it counts because they doesnt really wanna go, their parents make them

Some of the kids here are kinda loose... It makes me feel really sorry for them 'cause even though its their choice to do all that crap, they're ruining their lives aren't they? A guy in my form used to be really nice till he fell into the wrong crowd and started smoking, taking drugs and sleeping with loads of girls =/

One of my friends has started going around drinking a lot and whenever I try and get her to stop it, she says something like "Oh grow up." That's what everyone says to me! -rolls eyes- And they're all like 13/14 years old...

But most of us are sensible and stuff

Most people I know are average... A few drink and have sex and stuff, but I'm pretty sure it's protected and with their boyfriends :/ I agree with AmyLou D: I just see that as ruining your life. Some people dig themselves too deep into that kinda stuff, and can't get out of it. It always makes me sad to hear those kind of stories.

i don't know if just drinking a biyand having sex with your bf makes your future destroyed forever!
everyone does 'things' when they're young...
if i ever do anything sinful *<3s that word* i just work really hard on reading and being good, ya know sticking to water and not hanging with guys to balance it out... so i feel like a lil' angel again!

but yeah i think its all part of growing up!

I think it's a mixture around here. I don't really know how my family thinks about things though for example, especially when I'm the last to know everything and anything that happens in the family. >>;;

At my school, I've heard of people smoking and having sex in the bathrooms; i even heard a girl got pregnant in there. I actually had a girl that was pregnant in my class at the beginning of the year too! With my school, it would get vandalized a lot, like broken windows and such. But then there are people who are SO highly school-spirited, oriented, whatever you want to call it.

With people I know, I think most of them have a head on their shoulders. No one's really uptight or loose. If they think something's wrong with what someone else is doing, they'll say so, but they're not going to stop being their friend or anything.

I don't have a problem with drinking, as long as you can either remember what happened in the morning, or have a responsible friend with you to keep everyone safe ^^; I've heard of way to many people being slipped stuff and not noticing >_>

And if you're gonna have sex, even with your boyfriend, keep it safe~ Dx There's a chick in my school who had an abortion and then another pregnancy scare. Seriously, you'd think you'd be more careful after the first time >_> Her parents are about to kick her out of home D:

Well, around here there are more uptight people (IMO). But the vast majority of those are kids aged 13 and under, and then the married people.

As for the no pre-marital sex, Ill probably wait till I'm in college. Oh, ya, and in LUUUURVE!

I think where I live there is a vast multitude of diffrent people thats life ya know? There's gonna be the "God-Obsessed Be in Bed by 8pm" then "Stay out till 2' doing whatever you want" But I wouldn't want everyone to think alike and be the same..Unique..Diffrence..It makes us us.But some kids around here have kids..early age..I know somebody whos 14 having one and she lives next door to an uptite muslim family..So I think we do have a mixture I guess..

ppl in my town are supposedly pretty liberal, but they are seriously sooo conservative. like, everyone lives in giant houses and drives around in their suvs. and then we always have to be so politically correct, or ppl'll get offended. jeez. i wish ppl would stop being so hypocritical. like, if someone's secretly stereotyping on the inside, then they should just be instead of creating this fake facade of political correctness... it gets annoying when you know they want to say something but then they don't, and then there's this awkward silence. in class we'd be trying to talk about racial issues, and then everyone would be silent because they'd be afraid of offending someone. it's a classroom, gosh. ok. meh. *uncontrollable ranting*
