i had no idea at school today

We had a separate discussion with 4 people, and we were talking about alcohol. Since I am a Muslim, i don't drink, and i was like..drunk yes i don't do drink :s I hate it when i can't relate!! :cry:

i'm not muslim but i don't drink either! eventho your reasons might be religiously driven, there are also many non-drinkers out there who don't drink because they don't like to, like me

so don't feel alone! i know the feeling when u're in a group with drinkers and u're the only oddball who 'doesn't know how to have "fun"'. and oh my goddfkdksfjsdfkjdf.. we ARE having fun, damnit!

don't let these things get to u.. nothing is better than being urself!

btw, aren't there many muslims living in england?

Alcohol brings more pain than gain!! really, from someone who occasionally drinks.

anyways, i am not religious, have no religion at all, but you don't really need religion to tell you what is good for you and what is not.

and you don't need drinks to have fun.

in fact, i think ppl who drinks to have fun, really misses out on the 'real' fun. They are not lucid, so how can they claim to have fun when they don't even know what they are doing?

Same here. Don't drink, no interest in it what so ever. It can make you smell, gain weight and obscure your intelligence if you over-do it. Some people do it on occassion, like on holidays, but for me I'd rather just stay away from it altogether.

I think it's fine that you can't 'relate'. Why should you have to when it's a class discussion, right? Everyone is supposed to share their opinions & their experiences, and your contribution is having none. Like statisitcs, there's one of everyone from each categorey~

I don't drink myself but that's only because I don't like it. You don't always have to relate to a coversation or people. You have your religious beliefs and people will respect that abour you, so don't worry

That's like how I remember my old roommate wouldn't go out of she and her friends weren't drinking because they 'couldn't have fun' unless they were drunk. But what kind of fun is that ??

I don't drink either (and I go to a university), and if you don't drink typically you'll find friends who don't drink and such and such. I still think just hanging out or going to the movies or something is more fun than being drunk to have fun.

Alcohol smells bad. I avoid it. Also, my parents would beat me with a stick(not really) if I were caught and I'd never be allowed out late ever again.

I don't drink either. I don't plan on ever drinking or smoking or doing drugs! You shouldn't feel bad that you are left out. I'm left out all of the time because I'm not 'fun'.But you know what? I don't want to be fun if it means that I have to sacrifice my pride and act like a fool. And not only that but I get left out for other reasons too. Along with not being 'fun', I'm bi-racial, I am obsessed with Japan (which isn't accepted at my school), and I'm much more mature than my peers which is making my highschool experience very poor but I'm learning to deal with it. I'm not going to change myself just to fit in with a bunch of stupid kids who don't know what they want out of life! :x

haha if your new and you drink like 5 shots of vodka
youll most likely get alcohol poisoning ^^
heh my sister got it.
its basically just puking even after the alcohol is out

what really? oh, i didn't know that throwing up was alcohol poisoning. i thought it was when you had to go to the hospital o__o

i dont drink too often... but when i do i tend to do it in excess. by accident... because once i have had a bit to drink my judgement is too impaired .. and yeah. i was reading about drinking this morning and apparently you are really not supposed to leave people when they've passed out because they might have alcohol poisoning. also, you can go into a coma from drinking too much. i wasn't aware of that... kind of .... scary.

so by puking after the alcohol is out do you just mean like, dry heaving?

i'll be old enough to legally drink in a month... wish me luck.

Some guy I know- RIGHT before my eyes got poisoning on his first time drinking- and he hardly drank alot.

Drinking isn't all it's cracked up to be. plus it's dangerous.... like do you know how many drunk girls get taken advantage of and date raped? ah it's scarrrrry. Unless you do it with people you can trust I guess.

There's nothing that says you have to drink to the point of drunkenness, either.

I occasionally have a glass of wine with someting that goes well with it, and fruity margaritas can be fun in the summer. Overkill is what does people in!
