I was searching the internet and came arcoss a site that has a load of pictures of Emma Grint (Hermione from HP) and she still looked really young, some of them were of her years back and she looked just like a little girl in most of them...
Anyway, a bunch of guys were commenting on the pics saying stuff like how shes 'fit' and... other things...
She was voted 98 out of FHM's 1oo most 'sexy' women!
The thing is she's only like 16-17 or something like that!?
Is that a woman??
It makes me feel... worried slightly!

Why do adult men perv' over young girls??
Does it disturb you in anyway??

And also these girls that marry old men for their money & stuff...
thats all sick too!

Really I think it goes both ways.
Older men like younger women - and vice versa.
But for this specific topic~

I totally understand them.
Honestly around and after 16 is when girls usually look their best,
so it would make sense for guys to find them good looking.
Honestly I'm 16 as well, and I get attention from 20+ guys all the time.
Actually my current boyfriend, who I've been with since I was 15, is currently 22.
But I've been dating much older than myself for manymany years.
Just this weekend I was getting hit on by guys around the age 26 too.


I don't think it's bad to find someone several years younger than you attractive,
just as long as it isn't in a creepy way - like finding them attractive just because they are so much younger.

But yah, to sum things up, old men like young women cause they have good skin, hair, attractive, and most importantly, have that waist clenching figure to give birth.

I think adult men perv' over young girls because most of the girls aged between 15 - 20 look more beautiful due to their flawless skin and body....

And yeh, the young girls that marry old men for their money & stuff is all sick too...

I personally think that the maximum age difference between couples should be 4-5yrs, not more than that. In some exceptional cases where two people with little more age difference fall in love thats different.

Umm... I agree with kikiiloveyou I often get stared at by strange old men, or sometimes men slightly older. Im 17 and my bf turned 23 in May, and I think thats OK, as long as you are mature enough to handle it.
HoweverI do think that the whole Emma Grint thing is slightly strange.You see, as i have been told by my bf or other males, i seem a lot older than i am, (this has been the case since i was around 14) and men, or at least these men, prefer a mature girl/woman, and because i dont act like a kid they find me attractive. But I think with Emma, she does seem VERY young and i really cant see her sexy in ANY way. maybe if guys thought she was mature or sweet or something i could understand, but its just that she seems so so young and childlike...so .. yeh i agree with that..but guys and younger girls i think is just a fact of life.

I think it's kinda creepy.. Even when it's junior high girls + high school guys or high school girls + college guys (most of the time anyway...) it creeps me out. Why can't the guys date someone who is in their same age group??? I can't imagine ME ever dating someone in junior high and I would die before I was in college and dating a high school boy. The maturity gap is soooo big I dont see how it'd work. I feel like the guys are taking advantage of younger girls in that situation. Of course, there are exceptions, but generally, it's weird to me. When a woman matures, and gets her curves, nature dictates that she becomes attractive to men. It's nature. Once upon a time, our grandparents' grandparents got married at about 13-14. Again, by evolution, women ARE attracted to stronger men who can protect them, and in today's translation, it's money. Rich really does attract. Even a rich woman would be attracted to a rich guy....

I am the only one not married in my family, but my older sister's husband is about 10 years older than her and they have the best marriage among my family. I think it's tricky when you put an age limit to love.

Yes, precisely my point. It's more sick in the USA than any other country because boys and girls are brought up to think that sex is sick and bad. In Japan, the legal age for sex used to be 13, so I guess you can say that all Japanese men are super pervs! But then the US forced them to change it to 18. In my country it's 16 for girls and 17 for boys (why? cause they believe women matures earlier than men).

I have been to many countries, and age groups and how we feel about the age difference is very different from culture to culture. I find that America is probably the most sensitive about age differences. Anyone watch the Oprah show where she tackled this subject but in the reverse, where much older women date much younger guys? In that situation, no one said the women were pervs...

I think women dating younger men is COMPLETELY different from men dating younger women (especially when they are still in high school and much younger/less mature..) I'm in a hurry or else I'd state my reasons, but I just wanted to put that out there.

When it comes to love, I have a very open mind about age gap... but I still think too big of a gap may not be very good simply because if one partner dies, then the other is left alone for a long, long time! If I were to choose, I would rather die before my partner.

idk, I find women dating older guys ok, I would totally do it myself if that situation occurred. I think it has a lot to do maturity level. I can't really connect with most of the boys my age because they're immaturity annoys me.


This thread is actually kinda talking about two different things....

1. the relationships between older men and younger girls (in a dating sense) and 2. the idea of men fantasizing about younger girls

#1 = I'm ok with it and it happens everywhere. If you're younger you might think it's disgusting but everyone reaches a certain age where age differences between relationships doesn't matter as much to them and the compatibility between them and that person does. So age, to me, doesn't really matter.

#2 = *sigh* that's just guys in general...being perverts I don't blame them for the most part so long as they do it privately and I don't hear anything about it, I don't care. I think it's just nature

I tend to agree. I mean, we can be politically correct and lie about everything and makes everyone happy. But in the end, being to attracted to someone or something is something you can't control, like being in love. You can't say, oh, it's politically incorrect to NOT love that guy, therefore, suddenly I feel extremely in love with him.

Here's another touchy subject. When I studied in the USA, most white guys don't find Chinese girls or Black girls attractive. Does that mean they are all racists? On the reverse, white girls don't find asians attractive either, with perhaps the exception of girls on this forum who are into Asian Cultures.
