Fashion for heavier girls?
I'll admit it. I'm not thin. I can't sew very good, but I make due. I only weigh 160, but it feels like I'm giant with the way most clothing is made and who it's geared to these days.
So, who has some good links to japanese-esque, lolita, and cosplay fashions that are reasonably priced for the heavier girl? (I want something pretty for my cousin's wedding^^
Thanks in advance.

No... not really... please remember how Asians are smaller in a lot of cases so our sizes are smaller compared to American and European clothing... [American clothing is so big!! I'm literally an XS in some places ><]
I'd also prolly think that a lot of manufacturers think that their main focus is Japan, China or Korea, so that making too much of something people in these countries wouldn't buy would end up being a loss for them.

ah well places make clothes in the sizes that sell. ie i work at old navy which actually has a lot of plus sized clothes but the really tiny and really big sizes like we dont get as many of those and we get a toooon of stuff in average sizes. the fact is that if youre gonna mass produce stuff you just have to go with the sizes that most people are. and most people aren't tiny size 00 and not big size 16s, they're in between

I'm only 16 and I don't have a job but this christmas I'm going to ask for a sewing machine, in which case I'm heavier and I'll be attempting to make clothes that actually fit me [of course]..
ONE DAY I'LL BE FAMOUS AND THERE WILL BE LOTS OF -NEAT- CLOTHING FOR THICKER PEOPLE.
MMM YEAh.
Just you wait.

Perhaps you can buy a book, or read online tutorials on how to sow? You also don't nessicerily need a machine. I hand sow. Sure, it takes more time, and it sometimes doesn't look as good, but it's something.

I try, but even so... I still can't seem to sew. I think it's because I can draw and write and all that. You can't have talents in all areas, you know.

lol. it's actually the opposite for me; I'm 14 and I weight 44kg (96.8lb?), which, in comparison to most other Australian girls (asian & caucasian) of my age is very light. Shopping for clothes is a pain cause I wear size 6 pants (aussie size) and shops don't usually have them.
:? i guess the majority will always win against the minority...

I am 5ft-90lbs, I hate when the smallest size in the Juniors is a Zero and they are either TOO long or TOO big! WTF! I don't think it is common for tall girls to be at a size zero. I even buy shoes in the kid section.
