Wtf.. ._.

I personally love fruits and vegetables but I also love meat. I could never be vegetarian x: God made us omnivors for a reason! lol Circle of life~...
But I do think killing some animal (that's not eaten) just for the fur is retarded. There's plenty stuff out there to keep you warm u_u; lol Like sheep's wool!

*high fives Cailey*

haha, I do agree that PETA goes overboard, but I do support some of their campains, like, the royal guards using bearskin hats.

but, I'm not like a mega-activist who goes around protesting and calling peoples mummys killers. That's stupid. I do my own humble things, such as writing letters, sticking stickers, and so on.
But, i'm not here to covert anybody, your all entitled to your own opinions.

oh, and btw, I say things like meat is murder, does that make me self righteous?

I was actually asking a serious question.
*has no idea what self righteous means*

I don't go around shouting it out to random people who eat meat, I usually only say things like that when I'm angry with certain friends who like to try and oppose my beliefs.

and, yes, I HAVE eaten meat before, but once I realised how the meat came about, I stopped. I only say things like that to people who know full well what goes on, and don't care, or actually support it.

By all means, call me a murderer, It's not like I've heard the same sort of thing hundreds of times before. It would be a very immature, disrespectful and downright stupid thing for you to say though. I found that last post of yours very offensive, and would like to ask if you could stop telling me how my mind works, because you obviously don't understand how it does.

i dont see what was so offensive about it but if you are offended, oh well. i dont see why anybody should "oppose" being a vegetarian (i was one before) and i dont see why vegetarians should oppose meat eating.

if it would be stupid of me to call YOU a murderer for eating meat, why would YOU say "meat is murder" if it's stupid?

oh myyy well i'm not being like, a self righteous vegetarian or anything ... i just have an annoying hippy brother that likes to tell me all sorts of disgusting facts about food that i wish i didn't know... but i hate being told i can't be healthy ... like, right now, admittedly, im not that healthy because i don't have enough money to buy enough healthy food... but, my mom is vegan so she would always make ridiculously healthy meals involving lots of legumes and such. theres so many options for food so, i never feel like i'm missing out.

Oh wait I forgot humans have feelings and thoughts but animals dont

I completely agree with Osakagirl.

Personally, I don't really like eating meat, but my reasons
are different from most people(that i know of, anyways).
I am not against eating animals, because if all the people stopped eating meat,
the food chain and the cycle will be completely messed up.
And god knows whatever that may lead to, you never know. Overpopulation blah blah blah.
I just dislike the fact that some people never give vegetables a chance and
90% of thier diet is meat. Somehow i feel like my not
eating meat would kindda balance it out a little o-O

second, i also think that the way cows and chicken are being
treated in these little 'farms' are disgusting.
I dont want to ruin my health by eating steroids&hormones&chemicals via animals.
I do realize that veggies may have chemicals in them too,
but at least thier not getting thier beaks plucked off.
I'm also hoping that plants feel less than animals as well x]
next time you guys buy kfc, look at how big each peices
of chicken are, and how perfectly proportional they are to eachother.
it's a little frightening to me xP

[btw, not trying to convert anyone, just sharing my opinion >.<]

It was offensive because you were mixing my words around to make me sound stupid, and by calling me a murderer of animals, when you know that I am against the killing of them.

Quote:

That didn't even make sense. I never once said the phrase 'meat is murder' was stupid.
When a human kills another human, It's called murder.
When a human kills an animal, It's called slaughter, and is deemed acceptable.
I believe that animals have the same right to life as humans, so killing them is murder. That's it. That is what the phrase means. It has nothing to do with the people that ate the animal, just the fact that they're being killed and the way in which they're killed.

Do you understand now why calling me, and every other vegetarian whose once eaten meat, a murderer would be stupid?

call me rude or whatever, but i really don't care if we kill animals for food or how we kill them (as long as it is food, although back in the day, people used skins for warmth and bedding, so what's wrong with that?). how do you think cavemen killed them? grab a chicken, crack it in the head with a rock? i don't know, i'm just saying, animals should be treated like animals and i like meat, God says you can eat it so I'm going to eat it. The only meat I don't eat is pork and that's because 1) it says not to in the Bible and 2) it has much worse stuff in it for you than they ever put to chemically engineer your meat. have you ever had to dissect a pig and see how many parasites it has? and plus, pigs have no way to digest poisons so they simply store the poisons and other undigestable toxins in their fat, and then we eat it. i would much rather eat chemically engineered beef or chicken. i'm not going to put down vegetarianism (haha), but it's my belief that we should all eat meat SHAZAM.

Because humans have souls, that's why it's murder.
Do you think animals have souls? do you think they have to think about whether or not God created them and whether or not they should get saved and say to their wife, "Oh honey, I just don't think it's a good time to get saved yet, with all your 34 kids running around, I just don't know..."

Seriously. When a human kills another human, it's murder because it's a sin. It does not say anywhere in the bible that killing an animal is a sin.

I believe that animals do not have the same right to life as humans because God made them for us to kill.

I do believe animals have souls. I don't believe they think about why God created them and wether or not they should be saved.

You're christian, and your stating your beliefs, and that's fine.

I stated my beliefs, but everyone seems to be opposing them? That doesn't make sense. I'm entitled to my own opinions and beliefs.
I don't care if it doesn't say killing animals is a sin in the bible, I don't believe in your god.

I was just saying what I believe, why is everyone so against that?

i just don't like MOST vegetables.. as in the ones that would be more common in food like carrots, corn, and peas... but i do like other stuff like zucchini, peppers, leafy greens, etc...

i don't know. this whole this is kind of ridiculous because everyone is going to have extremely different opinions on the subject and there is no way to say that someone is completely right.
but like, i'm not religious ... i don't believe in souls and all that.... i feel that animals and humans should be equal. we don't NEED to eat them since there are alternatives ... back in the day when there was less to eat i can see why animals had to be eaten but now its not necessary.

oh, alas. that is just my opinion and you're right, we should not be opposing your opinions and beliefs.

but now i know why you think killing animals is bad and i will forever feel sorry for you.

um...I actually think she was directing that at me.
?
Why do you feel sorry for me?

but, Cailey was right in saying that everyone here has extremely different opinions on this subject.
can moderators lock topics? I don't want this to become nasty, so I was wondering if it would be a good idea to lock this......
