This is a very controversial topic and I think it's REALLY stupid to be arguing over something like this. Isn't it in AsiaJam's forum rules that we shouldn't have topics that might start something such as this?

agreed, I am very passionate for animal rights and anyone who contradicts me on that gets me really angry (as you can see) So I think it is in the best intrest of everyone to lock this topic

It's one of those "flammable" topics you know? Animal rights, gay marriages, abortion...stuff like that. I dont think it was "going out of control" since no one is actually cursing at one another, more like trying to convice the opposer that their views are correct. What fun is there if everyone just agrees with one another all the time? I thought it was getting interesting.
Controversies are never about who's right or wrong, anyway. As long as people here are being courteous.
As for the_zorya opinion about not caring HOW the animal is killed because it does not have a soul....I thought that was pretty well, ignorant. It's likely because she hasn't actually seen the horrible things they do to them. If you've seen the footages of rabbits being blinded for testing out a new mascara...or how they tie up a cat to perform live surgery on them, you would NOT be saying that. Animals feels pain. They have emotions just as much as humans. Just because they seem like intelligent, less "evolved" and not as powerful does not mean they should be subjected to such cruelty. Nothing deserves that.
