aw xD i think you're cute.
because you have a sort of round face shape, you should definitely grow your hair a little longer. Then, for a jrock style, do layers! lots and lots of layers. try kanon's from an cafe C: only girlify his hair. i think it'd look cute on you. C:

the bangs are longer in the middle than on the sides?
cut them in shape where it is exactly like that, or cut them so they are shaggy and then seperate on your own~
sorri if you do not understand..it is hard for me to explain
i used to have same bangs, but i had them cut shaggy and to the side, so then i seperate them y myslef~~

they are called "M" fringes, merely because of the fact that they go in the shape of an M... You can also have V, U fringes.
One of my friends had a V fringe. They are hard to maintain...

very nice.
From that pic it doesn't look as extreme as the jrock hair as we know it but it is uniquely asian

So i would also like to request jrock hair help. for AN08 (anime north) i want to do a jrock cosplay, but i'm fearful of being too...white...XD
so while i digress my whiteness, i want help as to who i could cosplay as or what ahirstyle i might be able to pull off.
my hair's longish, and i don't really want to cut it short (prom's coming up XD) and my hairdresser swore death on my should i ask her to bleach it completely blonde (here i pout).
this is what i look like:

fyi, that little bit of purple is now pink, and light pink...and kinda faded XD

@ Salios...
DON'T EVEN WORRY ABOUT PALENESS (is that even a word?) The more pale you are, the better, because tanned/ dark skin+ jrock= icky. I think your skin is very pretty too.
I think you might want some type of layering if you're worried about prom. I would say f*** fitting in with everyone else, but that's just me. I would have the shortest layer 2 inches and then increase the size... leaving the length you have currently on back/bottom of your hairline.
As for dying... since the base tone of your skin is like a pink, I think a strawberry blonde, burgundy red or light brown would look cool. I woudn't go with black though, in makeup either, because it will be to overpowering. Go with a dark brown (makeup).
Oh yeah, why won't your stylist let you bleach it? It is your hair afterall.

lol, good point about the paleness, it does help, even if asians usually have an olive skin tone XD and thanks about my skin hun; i was crater face less than four years ago and now most of my skin is u blemished, if a litttle red in the cheeks.
the layering you suggested sounds great, but i dunno if i can have 2" short hair, mine actually tends to stand straight up at the top if it's short (again, XD).
i'll probably look different at prom anyways, since i want a yukata:
(this one)
well, i had her bleach maybe a half-inch thick of hair (some was on top or underneath, but it was about a half-inch if you measured) and an inch or two long (again, in some places) and that took us a few hours...so she'd literally be spending her day bleaching my hair, lol! (most likely is i bgged a little she would do it).
i learned rather quickly that i can't wear dark markeup, especially since i usually have purple-ish bags under my eyes and said eyes are grey (stupid eyes!). but i haven't done brown before i don't think, thanks hun! can i add you to msn maybe?

Yeah I understand you when you say "white" A lot of "critics" will be like "Oh, they style can only be pulled off by Japanese" (Pshh...what do they know?!) Anyways. Make-up can manipulate your face well.
There are a lot of long "jrock" hair. Take the lead singer in D for example. You could search that....
What you could also do is buy extensions or wigs and manipulate them, I guess.

good idea, and thanks about the critics :P. i'm pretty pale so i am worried that my skintone might affect the costume as a whole, but it's a minor thing beside getting the costume and everything.
did you see the picture i posted? i have my heart set on it

The standing up straight might be very useful... XD I like the yukata, but it looks a little cosplay(at a con), rather than prom.
WELL, it is her job to do people's hair, she shouldn't be complaining about it. And I don't have an msn, I have an AIM though. :]
