Circle Lens?
I'm pretty interested in circle lens.
I prolly won't wear them around my friends; they'll freak out, lolll.
But I'm getting a check-up in July, and I can choose lens instead of glasses. (It's a different kinda degree if you get lens, right? I'm not sure...)
Yeah...so
Can I have some feedback from people who actually have ordered circle lens?
Were they good?
No infections? (eek)
Safe? ;A;
Can I have some info on them?
'Cause I've heard their base/curve/etc is all the same...and I heard your eyes need to be measured for those... is that bad? >__<
And they seem pretty expensive. -needa save up-
This girl seems to be running her shop well... o.o
http://asianfanatics.net/forum/-talk228406.html
My parents may or may not let me buy them. I'm not sure. XD
Lol, I'm still debating whether or not I want them myself, sorta.
If I can convince them they're safe...then... =]
I've seen like, two Jammers with circle lens...they look very nice (=
Sorry if this doesn't belong here. o.o

Hey, I ordered my contacts from AsianFanatics too, but from Princess Ping. I'm thinking about ordering from the thread you were looking at too though >w< (Nudy Blue is so cute!) Those two sellers work similarly. I didn't have any problems with my order && I love my lenses to death >w< Those sellers only have prescriptions by steps on .50 so if you're like me && have a prescription of something like -2.75, your eyesight isn't gonna be at its best @_@

I orderd my circle lenses at: http://www.softlenseye.com
they have all kinds of colors. (less than on that forum) but they are more cheaper. mine were 18.90 USD a pair wich you can use for 3 months. they start 00.00 and go up by 0.25. I got -4.00 and they had them too =)
Im happy with them. I got big black ones. ^__^
(and purple/grey ones.. but they don't make your eyes bigger.)
contacts are safe. you just need to learn how to put them in and out.
If you never had contacts before.. it can go a bit wrong. had this when I started wearing normal lenses.
so yeah, If you tread them well, clean them good and all. they are pretty safe.
if you don't, they will hurt after a while wich means you ectually need to get rid of them. wich is pretty bad if you buy those of 40 dollars.
(about going from glasses to lenses... they always take 0.25 or so of your power. )

Ahhh this topic again. You all tease me with such things! I want circle lenses too but I have astigmatism and blue eyes. Ive never found circle lenses for astigmatism in anything other than brown.
They seem to be pretty safe though, from reviews I've seen.

You can use the same powers (or degrees) for lenses as you do glasses, but usually people get the power their supposed to have on the lenses and then they make the glasses' power just a little higher because glasses are farther away from your eyes. That's what I do, anyway. ^^;
As for feedback about them... I've never gotten circle lenses myself, but I've heard lots of different things.
I've heard that they can be worse than normal contacts because their diameters are larger, therefore your eyes are getting less oxygen?
But then I've also heard that they're just about as damaging as normal contacts (which aren't very damaging in the first place, lol).
Most of the time, I hear that you should only wear them for a certain amount of time; something like 4-6 hours? I forgot. It's not that something bad happens if you overwear them, but I guess it's because at that time, they kinda start getting dry?
Base/curve and all that... uhhh, I have no clue how they measure it? lol, Every eye exam I've had has been the same since before I got contacts, so... yeah. No scary tests or anything. XD;;
I guess everyone has pretty much the same curvature in the eyes? (Except for people with astigmatism...)
I also want a pair too, but they're so expensive compared to normal contacts... ;_; and yeah, I think I'd freak people out, hahhaa...

Ahhh, I see...
Hmm. What is astigmatism? And are circle lens soft or hard?
@ laura-aap; your website isn't working. D=
I think I'm going to get normal contacts in the summer first, to be safe.
Also... in relation to Akane's post...
does that mean that they don't have a wide range of contacts available? O__O
Like...for my glasses...
My vision is 400 something, according to my parents. (Or negative? I dunno. I'm near sighted?)
Does that mean that they won't have it in stock?
Or that I have to pay 50 cents for each step up?
[ I'm not sure if "go up by .__" means something cents per step in vision or what? ]
Unless, of course, the prescription is different for contacts? o_O;
ps. thanks for the replys, guys :P

Astigmatism is when the curve of your eyes is irregular; like one part of your eye might be flatter/rounder than another part of it. Some people have this but then they grow out of it; others don't grow out of it, but I think it's easily treatable. But yeah, people with astigmatism have to wear special contacts that will fit their eye curvatures. :3
Circle lenses are soft.

Not sure, never ordered from there.. But that is where I'm going to buy mine when I do... Asian Fanatics forum confuses me (actually, most forum surveys confuse me XP )

just a tip, I ordered a pair of ifax blacks on the circlelens2u site, they don't exactly tell you whats out of stock and whats not. I had already paid and such and they mail me like 3 days later and tell me that it's out of stock -_-.
So ask if the lens you want are in stock via their message board before you order.
Now I have to wait and see what they're gonna do about it. I'm a little annoyed they let you pay for the thing and all but then tell you it's not in stock.

Re: Circle Lens?
i hear some are uncomftorble but i think its only b/c of how much water is in the contact.
like if its 38% water or 48% and so on and so fourth.
i've gone on some sites and its about 20 bucks for one, so a total of 40 bucks for a pair. and its a year long perscription. but its reccomended to get a eye exam before you get them b/c they work like regular contacts its just that the diameter is bigger to make your pupils look bigger.

Re: Circle Lens?
I bought from pinkyprince just recently. A good seller.
I got the Neo Celeb in brown. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that the diameter is 14.2 which is .2 more than the other contacts so I thought the black rim would be larger, but the extra .2 was clear. (Just a guess. Didn't measure it.) Other than that, they are really nice and more natural-looking. Total came to about $50, shipping included. I had pictures but I accidentally deleted them so I try to post them if you guys are interested.
I also have clear prescription contacts from acuvue. Most of the circle lens are smaller than my acuvues. On the acuvue box, it says the diameter is 14.2 and most of the circle lens are 14 in diameter. So circles lens ARE NOT bigger than regular contacts. They also have the same base curve.
Circle lens are just like normal contacts and just as safe. (Though I did get an eye infection from my acuves, because I kept trying to prolong them and didn't take care of them as well as I should have. Lesson learned the hard way. ) With that being said, clean them before every time you stick them in your eyes and change the solution before storing them again. Also you have to change the contact case every month. You shouldn't have any problems if you take good care of them.
Quality-wise, make sure the seller imports their circle lens straight from Korea. (There are China-made imitations that don't have the same quality.)
Sorry for writing so much! One more thing. I found a seller who sells 1 year circle lens for about $30. (That's pretty cheap!!) I'm thinking of buying from her. Here's the link.

Re: Circle Lens?
^ I think we found the same seller. If I wasn't in such a money crunch I'd buy a pair or two.

Re: Circle Lens?
I bought my circle lenses from mmitsjojo on the AF forums. I got Geo Angel Blue
I have slight astigmatism, so it doesn't fit my eyes so well, although they're pretty comfortable. They also last a year :]~ And I haven't had any problems so far.
