Default Is decora dead?

I ve been having an interest in decora for a while now, but i havent really seen much activity on it.
The decora community hasent been active for months now and the only street fashion i seem to find are things like gyaru and lolita(theres more obviously).
So my question is if decora is still popluar?

I think decora isn't as popular because there aren't many people willing to take the time to dress up in it. Also, considering you could do it badly very easily it makes it all the more difficult.

I think it's died down in Japan from the recent pictures blogs I've seen (we in the west are always several years behind them) but it would still be cutting edge in most places in the west.

lol i sound like a 30 year trying to find out whats "in".
Since the west is so far behind it wouldent really matter if i were to dress in the sort of style (also the fact that i should be able to dres how i want)
I was just curious because i havet seen any activity in decora recently.

it was popular in the late 90's in Japan
it probably took to long for people to get ready to go out with their decora look so they just gave up or something

I think gyaru style is taking over, so no one really wears decora anymore? I dunno... maybe try asking phen, she's in Japan now right? She can probably tell you if she's seen any around =D

Even if it may "die out" in Japan, there's no reason you shouldn't continue to wear it! Isn't the best times to wear a fashion when no one else is wearing it so you can be the unique one? Lol. Who cares if no one else wears a certain fashion? I'd rather stand out from the crowd than blend in. =D

Anywhere else other than Japan, feel free to continue to wear Decora! It may be dead in Japan (or not yet?), but it can live on in other countries. =))))

I'd say some people still wear it but many probably just gave up because of the time and money they had to put into it.

Decora is really cool. I thought it was one of the cutest fashions ever.

i personally think decora is still awesome. but its gets pricey unless you have an amazing nack for sewing with or without a machine.... most people here in california just conform to whatevers in at the time but i love it when someone sticks out like a sore thumb in a crowd. who cares if what you like isnt trendy! thats a GOOD thing that just means everyone and their mom wont be dressing like you...
