its a stereotype thing if someone wears what they want and it looks like some "stereotype" then people automatically assume you are that "stereotype" dont worry about it if they were true friends then they should know you well enough and what you like to wear etc

Actually the word emo was never meant to describe someones personlity or fashion. It's actually a music style.

And how can you be emo...just based on the clothes style, what about your personality are you all depressed and all that.

Well I was once called emo. I had this visual kei hairstyle and they didn't know where to categorize it so they called me emo. I just WTF how could I be emo I was laughing being happy and all that stuff..ok i liked post-hardcore and scremo but do emos usually laugh and smile being all happy like?

There's nothing wrong with you dressing up like that. Well people get jealous when they see another person with fabulous fashion identity. Tell your friends to stop copying Seventeen models, because that's boring.

However I like my skinnies bright-coloured. Retro blue, green, red, yellow..
And I only wear flip flops with them.

OMG I had something similar (and really stupid) happen to me too! I was called a witch on a day that I was wearing a tan shirt with a green bolera and black and purple scarf....

Come on! Just because my scarf was black and purple with skulls does not mean I am a witch!

But I know what you mean. You shouldn't deal with people calling you names like that. I have always been called names because of the way I dress, way I act and the things I liked but it doesn't bother me since I got back from Japan. It just opened my eyes up like its not my fault you know? I went and stayed in Japan for an entire year and everyone accepted me but as soon as I come back home I start getting the same evil stares and names? I couldn't care less now. Even though I don't have a sindle friend at this school I really don't care because I am super popular at my school in Japan and I still keep in contact with all of my friends there. And besides, I am convinced now that its because I am pretty and people are jealous of me. But I bet as soon as people see me in movies or on TV I bet they'll be nice then.

That's right, I plan on being an actress/singer/model! I may have high dreams but I am not afraid to go after them! So don't worry about those people!!! Just do your own thing.

I bet if you single yourself out from the rest of people, they will just start flocking around you because they miss you! Ganbare!!!

That outfit is really cute and nothing is wrong with it. I sorta kinda wear the same thing: dark washed skinny jeans, my high top Nike AF1s and watever printed shirts I have on. It's unfortunate that you have people labeling others based on what he/she is wearing. And if you're friends make fun of you and label you as "emo" cuz of your style, then they really aren't your friends. Just do what you gotta do, cuz each person has a special way of showing off his/her individuality and fashion sense.
