'Proud of yourself' thread ~
the idea of this thread, i thought, is to post things about yourself that you're proud of ! did you do someone a favour? come up with a great idea? get lots of compliments on a new outfit? get good grades in a test~?
i thought this because often people are reluctant to say things they're proud of, as it may come off as rude or boasting. (atleast.. i often feel this)
but if you feel good about something you did, you should say it ! : D
i will start then ah ~ -nervous- = 3=
small font haha
i'm proud to get into oxford university. (oxford is.. one of the most prestigious universities in UK, the world? @ __@ how did i get in...)
i studied really hard, up to 10hours a day for a month or more.
not just glad for my own sake, but for my family, who were supersuper pleased. on my mum's side of the family, she is glad for me as she didn't have the chance to work much at school (living on a farm). my grandma on my dad's side paid for me to go to a private school (my parents couldn't afford it), and it felt like it was special for her for me to go to oxford, as she was not allowed to apply when her two brothers did and got in. also in my school, i was the only person who got a place (usually it's 2-3). and lastly my penfriend said she'd love to visit oxford if she came to england. so, she could stay with me for a little? x'D;;
ahh, i went really on and on, urk x __x sorry !
but the point is you can go on about the things you are proud of, like i just did haha. it' s great to hear the wonderful things you jammers do ~ don't hear it enough !!

Wooow, congrats! What an honour for you and your family! What are you going to study?
As for me, I feel proud of finishing the gym test I had yesterday. We were supposed to run three rounds, but many of the people in my class only managed two, and some only one. As I'm not an athlete at all (I didn't even pass the same test when I had it two years ago -_-) that's quite a big deal to me!

I currently have the highest grade out of all of the AP British Lit classes. It makes me feel good, because I'm beating out some really stuck up people who look down on me.
HA!

Re: 'proud of yourself' thread ~
It's kindof sad why I'm proud of myself. Well school started and I got my ex boyfriend to stop stalking me, no idea how. I had the cutest first day of school clothes and I talked to me crush and I think he might like me back. But I'm nto getting to excited yet cause he might not. i could just be freaking out.

I'm proud because all of the weight that I lost because of medicine I've gained back (the medicine dropped me down to like 84-85 pounds and now I'm back to 90). Everyone is sooo proud of me... including myself!

Re: 'Proud of yourself' thread ~
WOW Phren, i'm proud of you too! 10 hours a day for a few months? That's SO much work! I would never have been able to do something like that.
I'm proud of myself for using the law of attraction to get what I want, by saying I want this, Or I will do this, instead of saying I don't want to get fat, or I don't want to flunk highschool. Because even if you say what you don't want too many times, you'll get what you don't want. It's like "If you can dream it, you can do it" lol <-- Blades of Glory quote. But if you dream or even daydream about getting what you don't want, it's likely to happen if you do that more than thinking or dreaming of what you DO want.
Looks like Phren thought about getting into Oxford a lot and kept to it.

Oh gosh, I've taken sooo many and a lot of them have made me lose weight. Two I know for a fact were Topamax and Depacaut (spelling error on the second one).

Re: 'Proud of yourself' thread ~
I called the cops on a creep today! XP
So ironic, because I was thinking like last night, what it would be like to call 9-11 for real... it was a stupid experience though, they sounded so freaking INDIFFERENT! But at least I called them. o.o;

Whoa, oxford university huh? That's pretty much comparable to a US Harvard! What a hard worker you are! Congrats :]
I am proud of...
1) getting my Bachelor's
2) having great complexion (Ah, I flatter myself!)
3) not being an average American. Haha.

Lovely!
I'm proud of myself cause I finally spoke my mind the other day, my actual mind, explicitly, and I don't think it went too badly
