How was everyone's first day at school?

I know there are a bunch of school threads but they usually relate to fashion or starting school. Maybe here you can just rant or vent about your actual first day?

I went back today, and it was so-so. I like most of my classes so far, but I'm not in many with my friends, sadly. My best friend lives two minutes away from me and she's on a completely different bus, and we have no classes or lunch together
Some lady thought I was a freshman (I'm a sophmore) because I showed up kinda late to my study hall, even though an announcement was made saying study halls were supposed to be in a different place, so it was really dumb.
Anyway. Is everyone excited for this school year? Depending on your school system...only 179 school days to go until summer break! for me, at least.

Mine was okay.. In every class, I found a least one person (even though we got moved by seating arrangements). The only class "Microsoft Specialist" that I don't know anyone in, we got to choose our seats? Kinda a bummer. [and 7 classes of syllabus droning]
Anyways I have to go to sleep earlier and adjust to school time but I'm just glad that the weekend's coming up soon. Already have an essay test for tomorrow to look forward to, as well as other stuff. I'm feeling EXTREMELY overwhelmed but I hope I can do better this year. Mainly in the area of participation and concentration. Really tired though. Our school is undergoing construction and the buses went to the other side of the building and ==this is classic== I missed my bus. Oh well. Start of another year.... LET'S BOTH WORK HARD TO GET THROUGH IT!

It was alright but that's only because on the first day back, you do like one lesson but most of the day is spent with friends and getting our timetables and stuff...

But today was the second day.. it was really terrible.. x_x In science the seating plan is horrible but I will sit in the empty seat next to my friend next lesson and I so hope our teacher doesn't notice. Knowing my luck, he will and I will be humiliated infront of the whole class!

Annddd I already have deadlines for a big project. But it's my last year of high school YAY!!

AMAZING, I can finally push people out of lunch lines!

We can wear are own clothes! which means shop shop shopping! so I have a good set each day! haha...

And I have met so many new people and made friends with them!

On my first day, I thought the school would be way too big, but it really isn't that big! It was really boring, but it wasn't too bad. The second day was similar, I guess. Today though... my only friend in my 7th period class dropped that period (it's optional) because she didn't like her 2nd period class, so she dropped it and now she has 7th period class during 2nd...TT and I missed my bus TWICE this afternoon.. I ride the city bus to go home and today was the first day riding it because my mom took me to and from school the past couple of days. I was so sad that I missed it TWO timesTT now I have a lot of homework to do, sort of...TT it's just a kind of sad day...lol

my first day was so and so... didn't know anyone in my class (they were all sophomores >.>) but i guess now i'm used to it a little :]
i love and hate gym. i love it because we're starting out with tennis!! but then we always get locked out of the locker rooms.... and i'm late to my next class =.=

mine was weird because it was my first day of independent study (home school) and i met my teacher for the first time that i would be seeing once a week. He stutters and it was kind of funny. And im the last student before the whole building closes, so i guess the principal was getting mad at my teacher for keeping me over the hour i was supposed to be there. i go at 6pm and the building closes at 7 and i ended up leaving around 7:30 lol
but my teacher had to get me 6 books and then go through each one to assign me work. x.x

i've gone twice so far, and wow i have more work each week than i did at regular in-class school. It's a bit stressful but definitely not too bad.

My first day wasn't anything special, actually.
I just had 2 lessons (so that's about 2 hours or something) that day.

Some schools here have a kind of introduction day with your (new) classmates.
but our didn't. we already had lessons @.@
I was like, what people will be in my class? and such. I don't know many people, just a few by face and name.
But now I know these people more and more (our school just started 2 weeks ago) and I think they're quite nice ^^ I think this can be a very nice class.

The school has organisated a activity for the students. it's about a few weeks.
they think it's a good way to learn each other better ;D yay.

I am home-tutored so my first day was pretty great. My tutor came over and basically, all we did was chat and get my scheduel arranged. It was really fun and I was happy to see her again.

My first day was stressful I was selling lots of my old textbooks (even ones I wanted to keep) just so I could buy ONE textbook. It was for French and when I finally had it I realized I was put in too low of a level and I had to be all awkward and ask the teacher if I could go up to the next level next week. It was veeeeeery basic french and I'm pretty sure even a level up will be too easy for me. I also had Fashion Marketing and I had one friend in it so yay I met up with one friend from my hometown and I hung out with him for a bit and showed him my awesome new apartment. This is the first time I've had someone from my town go to the same school as me! I am just finishing up classes from last year and taking French so this semester I only have 3 classes including Buying.

it was pretty ok. but i got lost and couldn't find my homeroom.

and then on my second day i accidently went to the wrong lunch period. so when i went to the class i thought was next, the classroom was empty. i asked a teacher in the hall where everyone was and he told me they had gone to lunch. so i basically went to two lunches and i had missed 30minutes of my college english class. the english teacher didn't really care that i had missed class.

anyway, I like how a lot of people at least were okay with their days. most of the people in my classes/school absolutely hate going back. I don't mind it too much. I have tons of homework and stuff to study for already, though, and it's only been two days!

My first day of school was two days ago. It was just perfect. I never have a good first day. I have easy classes and I have the best lunch. Well not I have study Hall so I skip and go to all the lunches there so its all good. I'm bad, but whatever. I get to talk to my crush non stop so its all good for me and my first day.

I was a complete and total wreck my first day of school. Lol It was just the thought that "Hey, I'm not in High School soo......I better be prepared!" but in the end it was fine. Actually I love it. More independance and such make it absolutely fun.

Sometimes in between classes since I have basically a 2-3 break I will go shopping and such with other people, or just randomly lay on the couch in the Student Center and watch television with other people.

Its great that I didn't have to ask to leave the class just as long as I'm quiet. But hey, that's great. There are so many great places on campus. We have a Taco Bell, Pizzahut, Coffee Shop, and a Subway but if you have no taste for those you can go somewhere else which is like only 5 minutes (if that) away.

I've met so many people and it's awesome! Like a few are from different countries as well as states and we've all basically become friends. Like everyday I tend to meet more people. I mean come on though, with 12,000 students that's kind of given.

Hehe, I've also met a few cute guys too! I honestly didn't realize until the second day of my math class (I have math MWF from 10-10:50) that there were less girls and more guy

Not to mention that I also had absolutely no clue that well one of classes is a Sophomore/Junior class and that I am the only freshman in there Lol. Now that is totally awesome. And my Professor, well.....he's a complete "Character" but in a good way. He gets off topic for like 10-15 minutes and then do it again later. Great stuff lol.

My first day was so boring. We got our textbooks and all the teachers told us what we were going to learn this year. A lot of my classes are very easy, though, compared to other years, which is good. Our school also has a lot of new teachers this year, so it's really different than past years.

I also got to talk to a lot of people that I hadn't seen all summer, so I was really happy about that!

I don't remember a lot of my feelings or anything from my first schoolday, but I remember we had to draw something. Then we had to show it to everyone in the class..
Next day at school we had sports and we had to do somersaults. And I scared somersaults so I walked home.. alone. Maybe 3km..
Those are the things I remember.
