I know what you mean, Dem. I have the exact same sort of phobia, I guess you could call it. I absolutely hate balloons popping or rubber bands snapping at me. Fireworks cause me to flinch but aren't quite as bad as smaller stuff, although I detest the small snapping, exploding ones.

I wish I didn't have to work today. I mean, I'm a broke university student for another year and a half so I could always use the extra money. But my family is having their annual Independance Day picnic and I don't get to go because I'm stuck here.

On a brighter note, I bought the yummiest apple-scented body wash, body spray, and moisturizer yesterday. My shower this morning was delicious!!!!

Holidays as in national holidays? Or like, when school is traditionally out of session?

Ironically, today is a national holiday-it's our Independence Day celebration. Our next national holiday will not be until Labor Day, in September.

If you're talking about school holidays, usually schools are on break from May or June until the end of August. Although, there are some schools that go year round in the U.S., but the majority take the summer months off.
