World is going to end?

katz: I think the whole thing with the years BEFORE 2012 was either about fear of the future, or not about the world ending but about something else coming to an end, such as the spiritual world where people go when they die to get reincarnated or go to a different star. but 2012 is supposedly the transformation of human consciousness and the world coming to an end as we know it, but some also believe there will be catastrophic events, like natural disasters and planets aligning, etc. some believe its when jesus is coming, some believe it's when aliens (aka our "creators") are coming, and some just believe it's when each of us makes a choice to go on from this specific life and go into the next dimension, another star, or to stay here.


anyway, it's obvious this thread has nothing to do with that though
this has to do with some experiment? i haven't actually heard of this experiment. but it seems to me like it's not a danger to any of us and if this world is a project that was planned from the beginning, then everything is still going as planned and we will not die unexpectedly. even if that weren't true, it still doesn't seem like a threat from what suzushii said. and people get paranoid really easily anyways.
and if we're to die suddenly, it'd probably be over before we know it lol

I am not worried because the world is going to end probably a 1000 years from now in 3945 AD. But by then humans would have found other planets to live on. So we shouldn't worry about the black hole experiment since they are just trying to measure matter.

It would make sense that the world would end in a way like this though, I mean, humans thirst for knowledge could mean we go too far and do something stupid just to see ''what happens''. It would be an appropreite and ironic way for the world to end.

I first read about this project some months ago. I think it's really exciting! They might even find a new particle, a new one that they've been searching for since like forever! :O But I read about that girl in India too... Damn media blows this to enormous proportions! My sister got freaked out of her mind!

I agree its definately the media that blows it out of proportion, they pick out the stuff about the miniscule chance of a blackhole being created and the even smaller chance of that blackhole devouring the earth... but they don't tell you the details of what it actually is!
Basically, they play on our fears.. and then everyone goes crazy about it.

OMG!! I love all this CERN thing!! read about it!! It´s soooo intersting.... they are trying to discover how to create ammm (damn...physics terms XD) ok ok whatever..they made a big machine to discover new molecules and things like that....for example gravitrons, if they discover gravitrons, in 10 years the cars are going to fly!!! XD XD and also, they are expecting to find a solution to the global warming!
I´m so excited! It´s the invention of the.....century!!

And yes.....there´s a probability of a black hole that will end not only with the earth, with all the universe WAIT! THEY ARE ALSO TRYING TO FIND NEW DIMENSIONS!! ahahaha

Uhm, to be brutally honest, I'm not completely sure myself The newspaper I read it in only described it vaguely. They called it the "God particle", though, so that's gotta count for something, haha.
