Default i'm moving/wardrobe change help!

OK, so I just found out last night that I'm moving from Florida to...Virginia! I know nothing about Va, and it's been several years since I've been in cold weather! What is in Va??? (besides my new home!)

Also...what kind of sweaters are in fashion? I have a classic black trench coat and a pair of boots that I think will work, but I need to know about winter clothes again! My closet is 85% pure summer...if you can help me in anyway, please do! Thank you!

P.S. Is there any "local lingo" I need to know about? hehe

wow! i can't imagine having several years without winter weather, where i live in the uk it's winter practically everyday- i mean today for instance it's raining and freezing outside.

could you not search virginia up on the net and that might give you some ideas.

i think that most of the summer clothes would be fine but you'd just have to layer them up and i don't know bout america but over here in the uk the layering look is the latest look.

classic jumpers are always fashionable and simple cardigans too. but i don't think you should change your style just cos you're moving to a new place just go with what you want.
sorry if my advice is useless

id search myspace for people from virginia and ask them about it. or better yet, find your new highschool on there and ask them while making new friends in the process.

I have done some research...and the shopping is much much better than my current location at least (I finally get to see what H&M is all about!)...I bought a couple of long-sleeve basics, fun tights, knee-highs, and had my Mom send me a couple of her old sweaters (which were actually cute) to wear with/under my summerish clothes, so I'll definately be going with the layered look (thank you!)...haven't had time to search around on live journal, but i'll definately do that, great ideas! Thank you all!

I think maybe I was panicking a little when i posted that...hehe
