Everything HALLOWEEN!
Alrighty, well it is getting to be the season of Spooks and Hobgobblins! I for one, LOVE everything that there is to do with Halloween. Just the legends, the costumes, the lights...EVERYTHING!!
I dress up every Halloween regardless of my age and I always try to atleast carve 1 pumpkin and I always decorate the house. Here lately, the apartments that I've been in don't get much children traffic D: So I'm not really able to hand out candy or anything. I'm usually working anyways, But I still like to come home to a spooky house
Now I was wondering what do you guys do for Halloween? Do you dress up? Decorate? Do you have any siblings to take Trick-Or-Treating? Carve pumpkins? Party Hardy? Please tell us your traditions for All Hallows Eve!
Also, If anyone has any cool Halloween sites to look at, I for one, would be greateful! I'm always looking for new costumes and ways to decorate.
This is where I get a lot of ideas from, they have just about everything for a great Halloween! http://www.frightcatalog.com/

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
Here in Australia, we don't really celebrate it much. Though in the past few years it has gotten more popular ^^;
Some places in the city do, but it's never a huge deal like it is in most other. but I really wish it was, it seems like heaps of fun :D

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
Whoo! Thanks for the link, I'll definitely be checking that out
I LOVE Halloween! I think it's a great holiday! I love decorating the house and giving out candy (and getting it too ) Dressing-up is probably the best bit though! This year I was thinking of going as a living-doll or something - pretty creepy, huh? And I think my college is throwing a Halloween party so I'll def. be going to that! ^__^ I think a sleepover would be cool afterwards too! We could watch scary movies and tell stories and stuff :3
Last year, my boyfriend made a little kid cry with the costume he was wearing lol! x3 He probably loves Halloween even more than me! He loves dressing up and really getting into the spirit; his house is always the best x3 His mum usually decorates and they have gravestones outside and a zombie sat on a chair with the candy bowl and speakers playing creepy music, haha!
But yeah, Halloween is awesome! Can't wait!

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
Halloween has always been my favorite holiday!
Even when I was a little tike I loved Halloween more then Christmas and Thanksgiving combined (that's saying a lot for a 5yr old)
I just love the vibe of Halloween.
Now that I am older and, I have pretty decent sewing skills, I plan my homemade Halloween costume 3 months in advance.
This year I am making a dark angel costume complete with wings and halo.
I always carve a Halloween pumpkin,
I buy several pumpkins (3-7) and create a theme.
Last year I did all ghost desgins.
These year I plan on doing all insects/bugs theme.
I also always decorate the outside of the house with orange lights and cobwebs.
The yard is usually littered with fake tombstones and corpses.
I truly believe Halloween doesn't receive enough publicity.
It is a wonderful Holiday.
Now you have me all excited! xD

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
I am the queen of Halloween. I was supposed to be born on that day but I "accidently allowed myself to be" born the day before.
Every year I dress up. This year will be my 20th Halloween and I still plan on dressing up and trick or treating! I'm working at a haunted amusement park all through October again. And I also might be working at a Halloween costume shop! I applied but I haven't been called back yet, that's why I said might.
I'm also of course checking out some haunted houses and what not in October. My friends and I are thinking about going to this family one, where they have a Story Book Forest that you can Trick or Treat through! If we do, I'm making Powerpuff Girls costumes for me and two of my friends that we also might wear to my birthday party.
For Halloween itself I'm kind of stuck on my costume. At first I was planning on being The Mad Hatter, then I was thinking on being Strawberry Shortcake! Then I found a really cute Gypsy costume so I want to be that now too! But I'll probably end up being The Mad Hatter anyway.
I'm also planning on having a big Halloween party this year. Around these parts Trick or Treating always starts at 5:30 or 6 and lasts only 2 hours. So I plan to Trick or Treat and then have my party at 8. I normally have all my parties at my grandparent's house because my house is kind of tiny (and they have a pool and live by the woods!). But I'm having this party at my actual house in my backyard because it's big and I can make it look really creepy. And then whoever wants can sleep over after.
I think that concludes my Halloween plans for this year. . . unless I come up with more!
Oh and in my personal opinion the best site to get costume ideas or party/decorating ideas is http://www.spirithalloween.com/ . They have the biggest selection of Halloween...well anything that I've ever seen! But I also like the idea of theming your decor or party to a horror movie or scary idea. Zombie attack anyone? But I'm just making my house a normal haunted house.

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
CX Halloween is my favorite holiday!
Up until my first year of college, I continued to go trick-or-treating. I look a lot younger than I am, so I got away with it until my senior year. XD Some lame adults called the cops because we were 'too old' to be trick or treating. Cheap jerks. Just didn't want to give us candy.
Now, this year we have a lot planned. We're having a Halloween party on the 29th, for our Anime Club on campus. The 30th we're going to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show. And on Halloween I'm going to my friend's Halloween party. C8 We all have to wear masks until Midnight~
If things all go well, I'll be dressing up as the following: Toad, from Mario, Nyu from Elfen Lied, and an Earth Maiden (... from my imagination?)
'Ve GOT to find some spare time to START on these costumes.

Oh man...Nyu from Elfen Lied is such an awesome idea.
How would you make a costume for her though? haha.
As for me, I've went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show since I was like 13 hah. We do the whole shenanigans where we dress up (I always go as Columbia) and we throw all the objects and yell stuff, and just have a good time.
My mom is pretty much the REAL halloween queen. We've always had a huge Halloween tree in our sunroom where she decorates it like a christmas tree, and we always bake little goodies (last year we made vampire oreo cakes hahaha). Honestly, our house pretty much turns upside when it's time for halloween. There's always black candles set up everywhere, and we have a real pumpkin patch in our backyard so that's actually pretty cool.
This is too much to explain...maybe I'll just take pictures sometime haha..
I don't know if I'll dress up this year.
Everyone at school is beasting me with their ideas--I know it's horrible, but a girl's already planning to go as JonBenet Ramsey...
and who knows how many Michael Jackson thriller zombies will be out this year...

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
I absolutely love Halloween. I don't know why since we don't really celevrate it anymore these days.
But I always carve one pumpkin and get lots of Halloween candy from the store. Plus this year I got a pumpkin shirt. Yay!

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
My dad is singy and won't let me "waste" money on costumes, candy to pass out, or pumpkins to carve. So every year I just cut out paper jack-o-lanterns & black cats and stick them all over my room. I also love to decorate my desktop background for the holidays Not much but it'll have to do till I move out.

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
JustPeachy : Even though your dad is stingy about Halloween it's still good that you find an artsy way to celebrate! RIGHT ON!
the_zorya : Man, I remember when I went to Rocky Horror, it was so much fun. Though I was a virgin, I kept it secret. And I think it's about 100x more fun when your parents are all about a holiday!
Starberry : Man! Just one more day! YOU COULDN'T WAIT THAT LONG? Lol, it sounds like you have some big plans for Halloween!
Asuka_X : I would love to see some of your creepy crawly pumpkins.
AquaxKitty : Those poor....Poor kids xD
Clarity : Oh man Ms. Clarity, You don't know how much you guys are missing out! Though I'm glad Australia is starting to get the feel!
Here is another link I found in a Martha Stewart Magazine, I love the sparklyness! Lol

C8 I was thinkin' of gettin' a pair of white, small shorts (Maybe from an athletics shop? Like, do they sell underarmor shorts?), to wear UNDER a large white button up. Making it give the illusion that I"m not wearing pants. (Think first episode, where she's just tralalaing around in the white shirt given by Kouta. 'Was thinking about trying to make the helmet, just to make it. But. Meeeh. Probably not, I already have my hands full. OH. And probably nude panty hose, 'cause I don't actually want to walk around with THAT much ACTUAL leg showing. (And of course, pink wig and horns made of plaster.)

Re: Everything HALLOWEEN!
This year for Halloween, I think I'm going to dress up as a flower child.
A hippie, kind of. I like the flow and feel ^_^
But I fear that maybe it's a little played out. I don't want to go down the funky route with the tie dye and all that jazz.
I want to dress more bohemian, you know?
If I don't dress as a flower child, maybe I'll try to be an inconspicuous alien
