Hmmm I think it is a good idea on the basis that there are alot of puppets in democracy the way it is now but I was wondering whether qualifications would make someone better at making decisions, you can still be clever and know almost all the facts on a topic and still make the wrong decision because it depends on the person, a greedy governmant will still make an unfair choice if it means it gives them more power despite information. I hope this makes sense I find politics very confusing

I guess though having an infocracy would be better on the whole and at least it would give people a biased view and a better understanding when they vote. Sorry to be pessimisstic (above) I do think its a good idea!

Peachee, it's not pessimism.. it's a good point.. Infocracy is not meant to be perfect, but it's meant to increase the lowest denominator from government or position of powers.

I, too, do not think it'll every approach perfection or a eutopian society... but with democracy, we see that half the world's countries are still run by dictators who calls themselves 'democratic'.. they are able to get away with it because the voters are easily manipulated or have their own prejudices..

Infocracy, at least, does away with people who are corrupt.. ie, cancel them out before they are even qualified to run for office.. and even if they win, then their powers will be limited..

wow that's a thought that I will never be able to come up with
well it kind of make sense but it's hard to change the government now
but if you found a new country and establish infrocracy and like win a bunch of war then maybe more country will turn infrocracy
actually this is a complicated subject forget what I just said i don't know what I'm saying

Yeah I thought about it some more and I realised that the lower class society could easily out number the governmant if they voted and that they would be safe in voting knowing that they were'nt being manipulated via the information they were receiving. I was wondering though, in the worst possible case scenario, couldn't a governmant still push its people into making the decision they want i.e. by threatening people outside voting stations, sounds an awful thing to say I know - sorry, but I think I remember people being scared to vote in Iraq because of things like this (not exactly the same situation)
Also it dosen't have to be the governmant who is corrupt it could be reble parties and it might not be that easy to notice a corrupt governmant they could hire people to be their puppets to do their dirty work, so that they don't get found out and arghhhh I can't stop arguing with myself
Over-active imagination T.T(above)
I guess this would only be minority cases and it probably would'nt happen at all. I guess universal laws would have to be made for each country to regulate governmants procedures. It would be an enormous project but I think it could only make things better and I realise perfection is something that can never be reached, I just argue with myself alot . I wish I understood politics better, sorry for ranting so much, hope I make sense!
