I agree completely with you - education is extremely important and I think it can solve very many problems. I think spending money on building schools and educate people is the key to get more justice in the world!

Pim and Pom!! I love your names!!
Yeah... I figured out that in order to make a difference in the world, we should not 'wait' or 'just talk about it'.... For example, some ppl may say, let's wait till I am a millionaire, then i can help ppl.... The fact is that we don't have to wait. If you can afford to help out ONE person, then do it.. but make it personal.. like personally help out that ONE person.
I tend not to give money to charities or big organizations simply because I don't really believe in them or how they run their organizations whereby up to 90% of your money can be wasted with administrative costs or paying big money to hire ppl when they can use the money more effectively.
Here's another Idea... if you live in Europe or The US, you're probably paying very high taxes. Why not, instead of paying so much tax, find out how much you can take off for charity purposes and invest in helping someone in the 3rd world countries. That way, you know your hard earn money is going to making the world a better place, wherease, big governments will just throw your money down the drain by wasteful spending on war machines and what not.....

The philippines is another country sorely in need to a complete changeover of government. I have been to the philippines countless times.... Last year, I started an office there and hired about 35 filipinos. The venture didn't work out and after 18 months or operations, I had to close down. It's just impossible to manage a company when you're not there.. ppl just don't come to work or don't do work...
Anyways, I digress.. The main problem with the Philippines is that the gov is protectionist... for example, if it opened up the country more for foreigners to own lands, then investments will pour in, revitalizing the economy.
The country also needs to revamp it's labor laws... it's trying to be too protective of it's laborers until companies can't run properly. For example, you can't fire someone even if they stole from your company if that someone worked for more than 6 months. So, what happens is that companies tend to hire ppl for 5 months, fire them for 1 month, then rehire them.. that means ppl get less jobs and less security. Companies need to be able to hire and fire as they wish... So, that employees will work harder, and only the merit ones can be successful.. you can't keep paying lazy workers who keeps piling up in your company and then suck out all it's profits until it's bankrupt wherease everyone gets laid off.
Another major problem is it's red-tapes. It took me almost ONE year to get a license to operate and they took like over 100 of my thumb prints. And it's extremely corrupted from every facet of government.
Foreigners can't help out much in the philippines until the filipinos take matters into their own hands and stop voting for corrupt government officials.. and the Christians there are extremely powerful, corrupting the government as well (this I hear directly from the local filipinos there).
Once the governments get it's act together, I think the philippines will be a powerful country... It was the first world country of Asia about 40 years ago, and now a 3rd world country.

my mom wanted me to join that oprah organization to build schools in africa but i didn't know how.

That's wonderful that Oprah has an organization to build more schools in Africa. I would want to see how much she spends on each school though. I prefer Bill Gates method, which I think everyone should follow. Help the most ppl with the dollars you have, not spend a lot of money for 1 person. Oprah spend over 20 million dollars to build ONE school. She can build over 500 average quality ones in 3rd world countries for that. This is not meant to critisize Oprah, cause I love Oprah, and I think she's one of the most wonderful person on Earth and have done tons to make it better and not afraid to speak up againts injustice (at times). But I also know 'waste' when I see it... and say it as it is..
I would definitely want to imitate Bill Gates.. run charitable organizations like a business.. where every dollar counts, and your return on investments is king...
