Default SHOJO BEAT

Does anyone suscribe to this American magazine? I was going to, but the issues are about half the size compared to its brother, Shonen Jump, and it's $30!

Plus, it's only 1 chapter a month, which I know will drive most of us crazy, considering in Japan many magazines do 1 chapter a week. Do the math...it's a biggg difference >___<

Welll...if anyone DOES suscribe to it, please tell me how it is and whether it's worth it to suscribe! ^^

Thanks~ (=

i'm a current subscriber to shojobeat!! i don't think i'm gonna renew my subscription though... as of right now (in my opinion) the only story worth reading in the magazine is called Vampire Knight. It's amazing and the manga comes out in january! Other than that, shojobeat isn't really worth it. The other books in it don't really appeal to me. My second favorite would be Nana.
Well what it comes down to is: if u like stories about normal, average plain girls finding love then this is for u. Alot of the stories have love triangles too. Where the main (female) character likes someone, but isn't sure if he likes her back, and then there's another guy that the main character has known for a long time that secretly loves her. That's what most of the stories are about.
And shojobeat did this weird colored in thing, where each story is in a different color ink than the one before it. It's kinda annoying though.
I don't know if i've helped u at all with this post. I'm pretty sure i've just been rambling about stuff. sorry...

mm im subscribed to it now..

err i basically only read Nana, but i hate how the editor translated it sooo i just download the scanlations online now.. i still buy the manga though so im not stealing from yazawa *_*

i started to read absolute boyfriend, but every chapter is the same and its hecka annoying.

sooo whenever i get them i usually scan through the Nana chapter and read some of the articles which are sometimes semi-interesting. none of the other manga is appealing to me at all... mm im probably not going to renew. i wouldnt recommend it unless you like most of the manga in it.

I subscribe and I think it's a really cute magazine! I've been subscribed to Shonen Jump for a long time, and a magazine more oriented towards girls is a nice change.
