Excange student from Japan!

I'm having this exchange student from Japan come to my house for a month this summer!I'm so excited!

Has anyone ever done this before?Or even went to Japan?I'd love to do that but my mom and dad are so overprotective(correction:my dad is so over protective!I wanna go so bad! :cry: ).

Sounds exciting! I've never had an exchange student stay in my house. My Dad wants to take me to Japan, as long as I can speak and read Japanese.

At least you get to go!I'm learning japanese now and my parents still wont let me go!I'm supposed to go visit the girl thats coming to visit me next year!!!SAAAAAADDD! :cry:

when i was like... 11... my friend had an exchange student from japan stay at her house. she was really nice and i think she is the reason i started to have an interest in asian culture.

How exciting for you! Be very hospitable and always make sure they are comfortable! Reassurance is a nice thing. I was going to have an exchange student but our house is currently under severe construction. Maybe once you're in college you can go to Japan for a year and study abroad? That way you can go through organizations and become sponsored! :"D

My boyfriend had a japanese exchange student named Kai when he was 11 (or something) and he wants to find him now. Anyone have any idea? At my old school this stupid (and horrendously ugly and pig headed) guy has a Japanese exchange student sand he doesn't even look after her, he said to me "is it alright if i just dump erika on you so she doesn't have to follow me around everywhere?" She can hardly speak english, what a stupid jerk.

That guy sounds like a total dummy!Why would you even get an exchange student if you aren't going to hang out with her/him and be firends.It was totally pointless for him and unfortunately the exchange student!

My friend constantly has Korean exchange students over! She enjoys it a lot since she gets to teach them English and practice.

Does Yukiko speak a lot of English? I know some East Asian-ers come to America and speak good enough English while others have some hard time.
