Default Study Korean in Korea

I'm looking around now for a while, lately I'm thinking a lot about going to study Korean, but I am not sure and now I would like to study Korean in KOREA!!

I think that is a great way to get to know the culture, I"m not stuck for it for the entire year (I would like to do a month to 3 month course, but longer is possible too). And I have to use the korean language everyday so that is a great way to improve.

Now I found some websites of the University of Seoul and several others and they offer a course Korean with a stay in their dormitory.

well the question is, does anyone know something about studying Korean in Korea. (or about uni life in Korea) Know any good universities. someone who knows something like a blog or a story about someone who studied korean in korea. because I just can't seem to find anything about that.

Thank You <3

Sounds exciting. I want to do something like that eventually. I know that it is pretty easy to get into a school over there if you are foreign, because Korea is suffering now. They might even offer you free dorm or something like that. MY roommate is from Korea, and she came here to study, kinda funny.

I think the best way to really understand a culture is to stay in the country for awhile. I wouldn't mind doing this either. All I know about uni life in korea is from the movies hahaa.

yeah same here, I probably think it isn't going to be like that, unless they study that hard, then I think I need to change haha, I just can't study hard ^-^"

well I'm not going soon, I need to save money for it, and see if I can't even get of from my job for such a long time again (if I go anytime soon it will be in our 6 week summer holliday or else I'll go in 2 years after I graduated from highschool.. it still takes so long, but I'm just looking around seeing what I can do and I think this is really something for me,

Same here, I really want to go to Korea, especially Seoul. In my case, I looked up for opportunities and the only eligible way is to finish my studies there(this is my last year of faculty)- the Romanian Government is willing to assure a full scholarship plus a monthly stipend as long as I sign a contract saying that I will return to my country after finishing studies and work here for at least 5 years. Maybe there is something similar in your country.

I wish I could do something like this.
I was even wanting to look into Seoul Uni, just as an option.
But I don't know how much it would cost.
And of course...its VERY far in the future for me.
But I think that would be cool.
Maybe do a forgein exchange program so that you will be with a family and will definetly know SOMEONE instead of just going.
*shrug*
Sorry I'm no help.

Yeah I was looking, I was talking to someone today at school and want to go to study in America and she says there is this thing I think it's called a scholarship if you want to study in another country. Or you have to go to a partnership university here in the netherlands and say you study here then you can receive money from government to study there (well at least it's something really weird!!)

as for an exchange first, I would love to go to Korea the same as I went to Mongolia (staying in a hostfamily for a month) but they don't organize exchanges to South- KOrea , I can also visit my Penpal (seon-a) she is really nice, I think she is going to study at suwon university if I"m right, so maybe I can go there.

ohw the girl from my class who want to go to America said I should do my entire study in Korea and also learn korean, but I don't know if that is possible..
does anyone know this?
*edit*
I found this websites for a homestay in Korea

That sounds really cool. I would also like to study in Korean one day....maybe to Seoul. But I think I'm going to Korea next summer for Tae Kwon Do. I'm sorry I know nothing about any programs to help you, but good luck with that!
