Okay, for all of you die hard fans out there, I'm not sure whether there was a thread on the whole Yoochun, Junsu, and Jaejoong vs. SM Ent. (without Yunho and Changmin). So I just made one because recent updates on the issue surfaced, so here's the whole shindangles fo' ya:
DBSK members have financially earned close to nothing from their six years of work and almost no profit from album sales, DVD sales, television appearances, concert performances, etc. Virtually all revenue generated from DBSK products have gone straight to SM and the terms of the contracts are unfair. The members have a contract of 13 years, excluding military service and they get virtually no rest. Think "slave contracts".
Then this whole situation started to reflect on netizens complaining about how other bands under SM are also suffering:
- If DBSK gets barely profit, what about the payment split between SNSD and even worse, Super Junior?
-SHINee members are rail-thin and have to balance high-school and work at the same time (more referring to Minho and Taemin)
-S.M.'s reputation with somehow "managing to break up" some of Korea's biggest stars (H.O.T. and Shinhwa- which, started out in disagreements between the members themselves)
-Henry and Zhou Mi anti-fans who are still voicing out their opinions
-Incoming criticisms are coming in on Kangin's DUI and bar charges.
I think DBSK is an awesome band, but if they had issues regarding their contract, why didn't they voice their complaints earlier? All of a sudden it just happened. People also push all the blame onto SM. Sometimes SM is a little unfair, but they manage the biggest stars and they to accommodate them to their best abilities. SM isn't a bad company, it's just people's opinions and their bias on bands.
I'm really not on any side, I just want the whole thing to end (and end the bad year for K-Pop

it's been a crappy one, eh?) and have DBSK perform again
