Ironically, I'm Korean, but I've never tasted the Korean life. Oh well. Well, both my parents were raised on farms, and they said it was a typical farm, just like here in the U.S., except there were no horses, but they used work cows.
My dad takes frequent business trips there, and says it's a lot like New York City, but it rains A LOT during July. There's also a lot of snow in the Winter.

Life in general, like are there any specific customs, like how the Japanese have different pairs of shoes for going out (something like that, can't exactly remember) or greetings, their stance on gay rights, fashion, food, music etc. that sort of thing.

Welll ok! They have pretty similar customs with the Japanese, like bowing heaps, and the different shoes in the toilets, OH! And they have the squat toilets, and the politeness and such...And they have the same like..."system" as the Japanese, you know, like talking more formally to your elders and stuff like that.
Um I have NO idea at the moment, what Koreans think about gays and such, but Im thinking the elderly people prolly wont like it...but yeah, thats kinda the same everywhere....
Fashion is very similar to any other asian fashion fad going around, and they are a pretty trendy country (the younger people anyway) and they have quite high standards! Like, they like to buy only the best quality, expensive things~~
Ok about the food, my opinion is a bit biased coz I LOVE all asian foods but yeah...they are healthy eaters, they eat lots of vegetables and fruit and they dont eat THAT much junk food (but man do they have alot of nice stuff!!!) and you should try all the traditional foods like kimchi, kimbap, bibimpap...and theres heaps others.....
Music, ummmm Im not really into Korean music, sorry so I dont know THAT much, but theres people like Se7en, BoA and that Dong Bang Shi guy~~they're all pop-y music people and they're quite popular....
Theres lots of Korean dramas and such that get really REALLY popular now and again! Like there was Full House, Princess Hours and First Girl I think....and then the actors/actresses get really popular...and everyone knows everything about them~~
About foreigners...Koreans are quite...well, they kinda stick to themselves most the time, but they are a very friendly people who will help out the occasional foreigner who gets lost! Most of them can speak english (might not be the best of english, but is generally understandable.) Of course, like in any country, there will be those against foreigners but hey! They shouldn't bother you too much!!
Err I know that this is a pretty simple explanation of things..but yeah, hope it was helpful in SOME ways lol but if you want to know anything else, I'll try to be of use!

We don't bow that much compared to Japaneez... but we do have Confucian based ideas so we do have respect for elders [seen in language].
I don't think there's a real ambiguity to gay... cos we bathe naked in front of each other. It's not that big of a deal to dress and that kind of a thing. I don't see any problems with gays.

Korea is pretty much like the Asian New York. People are quite rude there and always always busy. Everything is very fast paced. (In city anyway)
There are MANY things to do there for fun though (In my opinion). There's theme parks, skiing/snowboarding, sightseeing, shopping, pretty pretty cafes etc etc...
I LOVE the shopping places there. There is one place called Myungdong which is my favorite place to shop. Very crowded~
I also love how they have little vendors on the sides of the streets with cute CHEAP things to sell.
Oh and don't get me started on the food.
Cheap and DELICIOUS n.n
Oh yeah but there is real bad pollution there D: And traffic.

People are actually rude? Oh, I thought it was the opposite...but maybe does that depend where in Korea? But I also know that people aren't afraid to push you around if you're in a lower class or age status, etc. Like cars won't stop for you on the street and people will budge in line and stuff. Is that true?

So so true...but I think the car stopping thing happens in alot of countries...but yeah Koreans arent afraid to push in line lol and they like getting their way...And status and age "groups" are really...kinda SIGNIFICANT in Korea...even in buses and stuff if someone older than you is standing up you have to give up your seat...I guess it'd be nice if you did that anyways but yeah......

Really?
O.o
i heard that Koreans are super nice.
the people on Asiajam, are super nice.
Would they treat you bad if you're half Korean?
lol, sorry. Just had to ask.
So the people in Korea are basically bitches?
Someone said they push people to get what they want?
Or if you're in their way?
The clothes ARE super super cute.
And some things are super cheap :]
<3.
& I heard that the scenery is beautiful?
And not as polluted as NYC.
Btw. What would it be like in Kunsan?
(the military base).
^^please answer that last one.

It actually depends, some elders think you're destroying the korean heritage while others think its pretty cool. Like theres this famous American/Korean guy (i forgot his name -_-) and he has tons of fans in korean XD.

Everywhere in the world, whatever race, there's going to be bitches and rudeness. We just have to live with it ^^;
