yeah they hold these auditions all the time....I've seen these SM ENT casting calls around for like...8 years or so LOL its especially a big hyped up thing for Korean people.

SM Ent isn't that great of a company to work for though...I mean, they've essentially screwed over many of the big stars that came out of the company =/
plus corporate/manager people who run the company tend to get in trouble with the law a lot >.>

Bwahahaha you'd basically be a tool for them...but it would still be awesome to audition I think. ...And to be a pop star

...I wrote this long thing, but kinda pointless. I'm only half Japanese, and look like a plain old Irish girl. This is something I would really love to do someday, but even if I was that good a dancer, I doubt they'd even let me audition if I don't look asian. u___u;

Hm...maybe? cuz they could advertise you as part asian...lol

I mean..there has been part asian singers that have become really popular and famous before....right? ^^

there was that one guy from G.O.D. that wasn't full korean, but he was part of that popular kpop group (uuuggghh I hate G.O.D.....=P)
and there's a uber-popular half black half japanese Jpop star...Crystal Kay

There are tons of singers who do look really asian at all in Japan! (Stephanie, Ken Hirai, Crystal Kay...) But Korean... Not sure...

Yeah Crystal Kay is half korean. and I i'm not really sure about SM not all of their girl groups are great.I would tend to lean more toward YG.But I don't get the any asian part.Is it so hard to accept a foreigner who can speak korean and sing in it too.

Eh.I just started korean I'm one of those weird people who pick up langauges pretty fast...mostly from watching korean television...but you can learn any song in any language if you listen to it alot and pratice along.

It shouldn't matter if your asian,1/2 asian,or not asian at all it should be if you can sing or not,and it's also one of the reasons why korean music stars wont succed in the U.S because they've been "manafactured" to be bubbly pop-y stars where as long as they can dance and sing ok you're in,oh and of course you have to be asian.When you look at it America is waaaay over the boy band and poppish music stage.That was the late 90's nowwhere into more rock-ish,soulfull,r&b and hip hop.Also imagery..now you don't need to be absouletly perfect or need a nose job for example.Amy Winehouse would get so many 'Oh my god- victorian-cover my mouth-well I do declare looks' about her tattoos in korea.As a music business no...as a country Korea does need to mature a bit.I love Korea but it's just the truth.

You don't understand. Korea is a TOTALLY different culture. The pop music is there because it's what KOREA likes. That doesn't mean that korea has to mature alot. And talking about being perfect in america is a no-no.. That's so not true. Ashlee simpson got a nose job almost all celebrities have. Amy winehouse is pretty xD. And you think they've been manufactured so they are bubbly pop music stars? What about Rain(bi) He's not exactly bubbly pop either. Your almost stereotyping all koreans. What about Big bang? And not ALL americans are into hip hop and stuff. What about the pop in the world? Theres alot like fergies son big girls don't cry what's that ?? Pop?? Yes.

I understand Korea is completley diffrent but either to top stars alll have tons of plastic surgery and couldn't live without and the ones who seem like they don't have it have tons of antis who seem like they do.Their was even a korean school who had some sort of festival and one of the prizes was for cosmetic surgery.what happened to be proud of who you are? and Rain seems like bubbly pop to me and I don't think he can ever make it into America.(As much as I love him) I showed him to a couple of friends of mine and they were like wtf.What's with the Micheal Jackson gloves. I don't rember exactly what I said lol but stars like Sushi and Times of Girls have been with SM for years and trained to be cute,dress alike,get plastic surgery(we've all seen the before pictures)
