Well, I have a friend from Korea, and she comes here, when my best friends family hosts her.
She got me really interested in Korean culture. Like GONGI , haha soo addicting.

My ex-boyfriend was from Korea and a lot of my friends are Korean as well since my brother volunteers to help students who have English as a second language.  |

Hmm, I knew DBSK because of Japan and didn't know they were actually Korean at first, then I heard about Mirotic and typed that into youtube and it came up with their korean MV and SHINee did a cover so I pressed on the cover first and saw all the comments about how SHINee was so cute, and I was like ???? So then I checked out SHINee, and my love went from there  I stay with a band for a few months, watching all their shows and then after I've seen everything, I just wait for updates, I'm on a Super Junior craze right now
Delicious Korean store (ASSI) near my house, and H-Mart, too!
Then the beauty culture and traditional culture was very interesting to look up on also!

It all started with me listening to Korean music, like Big Bang and Super Junior, then I started watching Dramas and movie and now I'M OBSESSES!

I saw some cute korean actors and I was like "Woah!!!" and then that was it!
I'm probably not nearly as knowledgeable about the korean culture as a lot of you guys are, but I'm learning.

K-POP! That's how I became intrested in everything else. A friend of mine somehow found out about Suju and Big Bang and told me to teach it out. So I did and then I became hooked- with everything! All because of 1 music video! sorry, sorry by Super Junior so I'm rather new |

Hmmm well I was mostly into Japanese stuff, but then I got into Korean stuff because its cuter to me.

I used to be really into Japan and was watching some Jpop on YouTube and there was a mashup video with some Kpop and I was like !
So it started with Kpop (which is 100x better than any pop music in America), and transformed to an obsession with their tv, food, culture, everything.

I came across it ages ago when I realized there was such a thing as J-Pop. I never knew they had given it that name, just to me it was "Japanese music" xD. Then I saw the word K-pop on the website, and listened to a bit and I realized I preferred Korean music. 
And I guess it just built up from there (:

When me and my sister were in 4th grade, she listened to S.E.S., and a lot of my friends really liked them. I was probably the last one to get into them, but a few years later I became a big fan. Then I think when I was about 13, I started listening to more Korean music. I was still more into JPop/Rock, but I was starting to branch out little by little.
My favorite songs were...
JTL Without Your Love
1TYM Without You
S I Swear
etc.
Those were my all-time favorites at the time!
As far as food... we have a korean market called "Kyo Po Market" right near where I live, and my mom would shop there a lot. I often ate Melon Bars (yum! they were my favorite!) and Kimbop for dinner heehee! ...Of course, I was picky, so I would tear open my kimbop, separate the fishcake and crab into one pile, take out the daikon and give it to my mom, then eat the fishcake and crab. XD I told my boyfriend and he flipped out on me LOL!
