Going to Korea (and possibly Japan)
Well this summer I'm most likely going to Korea (kyaaaa!) and I want to get to know some places that I should (potentially) visit. So please let me know which cities/tourist attractions/etc I should go to - this includes Japan too.
But I will be on a VERY tight budget, so nothing too expensive Pictures and stories would be extra great

Yeah, lucky that I'm blowing all my college money on a desperately needed trip :P haha
Anyway, I'll be staying with a friend in Munsan which is relatively close to Seoul. We might take a boat over to Japan and who knows where that would take us.

If you're going to be on a very tight budget, try to stick to less favorite tourist places in japan. It's expensive there and there's a lot more than most tourist see that's cheaper. Try visiting temples and shinto shrines. There's a lot of them over there but they cost nothing to check out and they're really old and interesting. If you're going to be staying around the Greater Tokyo area, I recommend just walking everywhere and taking advantage of the trains. Also, again with Kyoto, walking everywhere gives you a chance to check out the little things most people don't get to see or experience. For example; My family isn't from the Kyoto area, so, when I visited Gion with my mom, we left the hotel (Westin-Miyako all the way baby <3) at night and just walked EVERYWHERE. We checked out the different stores and shops (including the Starbucks) and even got to see a Geisha step out of a Taxi (she did it so quickly because it was raining). I would recommend you a hotel in Tokyo but the problem is that i've never stayed in a hotel in Tokyo because I stayed with my aunt in Kawasaki. Basically, I recommend going to the less traveled places because then the prices for things will be less expensive compared to the more traveled places.
In Korea, I'd recommend visiting Lotte World, however I do not know how expensive the tickets have gotten over the years. I'd also recommend the less traveled places in Korea and just walking around everywhere. MWAHAHAHA LOTTERIA <3 When i go back to visit my harmony, i'm gonna kidnap my cousin and take her with me to the Lotteria.

Lotte World is an amusement park place Have you heard of Lotte products, like snacks and stuff?? Well yeah I havent been there but it looks REALLY awesome.
Ummm close to Seoul a? Well theres the Children's park which is part park/amusement park/zoo...and its pretty big! And cheap as well, to get in, though you do have to pay seperately for the rides.
Theres also Itaewon (dont know how to write it in english..) its like a shopping...road? district? I dunno but its pretty big with shops EVERYWHERE even underground.
Theres also Techno Mart which is a big, like 10 floor mall thing with a movie complex on the top floor and a supermarket underground. Thats pretty cool as well, and has many interesting shops!

=D
haha well if you go to korea and want go shop.
GO TO COEX!
it's such a big mall.
=D and try the doota tower in dongdaemoon(SP?) its a great shopping place for clothes too!
also there alot of places where you can buy cheap stuff in korea, they're around every corner!
tourist attractions? you should go to the king's palace in city hall!
but there alot of old palaces like that around korea, i think in certain days (or was it every?) they do alittle roleplay of the old korean days with kings and stuff in city hall.
korea is a great place, i go there every summer cause half my family lives there ^^'! but korea is so polluted >_< makes me sad.

haha! I went to one of those once, it was really good and they were all good actors/actresses! And the costumes were so pretty~~ I remember the one I went to, it was a traditional wedding and the guy that had "just got married" walked past me and like smiled and winked. I was like O_O haha I was 12 or 13...and it was kinda weird...anywho! oh and btw what does "(SP?)" mean?

"SP?" means "spelling?"
its basically used when they're not sure if a word is spelt right.
