Default Anyone read manhwa???

XD if no one knows whar manhwa is,then its the korean term of comics and print cartoons(common usage also includes animated cartoons).
i just heard about them because my friend got this book out of the library called "moon boy" then she said it was korean and im like ---> O.O
its a good manhwa to^^ very cute

Plot summary--->
Moon Boy revolves around Myung-Ee, a boy-crazy tenth grader who starts a new life at her new high school. Yet weird things start to happen when she encounters a boy whom she remembers from her past. The boy doesn't remember who she is and it seems the student council aren't as normal as they appear to be. Why does Myung-Ee's eyes turn red when the moon is out? What exactly are Earth Rabbits and Foxes, and what do they have to do with Myung-Ee?

anyone read manhwa?

I LOVE Manhwa and i LOVE Moonboy. I have volumes 1-3 and im awaiting volume 4 which is due in September

I currently own Chocolat, Angel Diary, Hissing, Magical JxR, Kill me Kiss me (by the same manhwaga as Moon boy), Very Very Sweet, and Bride of the Water God... I also read Flower of Evil, Dear Waltz, Spam mail hunter, Chiro Star Project, Cynical Orange, Bring it On and a BUNCH of others...

Sometimes Manhwa doesn't move fast enough, or there's not a lot of dialogue... but for the ones that are pretty and intricate, they're great.

Well, you can read some on mangafox.com, but some of the scanned manhwas are missing pages (that's why i had to buy moon boy... ) you sure you can't find it anywhere on the internet? tried bn.com, borders.com, or amazon.com?

I've never read one but my sister has. We didn't have any clue what manhwa was when she bought it. In fact I just learned the word the other week and didn't know what it meant until I read this thread.

There is some that I want to get though.

I sometimes do, but I for some reason prefer manga. I've only read Demon Diary. It was okay, nothing special, but somewhat funny at times.

I bought a couple of manhwa the other day that I had been wanting for a while.. I think that the company that used to distribute most of them in US changed?? It now says Yen Press, not the Ice Kunion and Danbi logos... I hope they will come out faster here now=ㅂ=;;

^Yen press? I didn't realize that was a Manhwa company. But that means that a manga I want is actually Manhwa. So maybe soon I'll be able to read my first one. I think there are two Manhwa serieses that I want.

I used to read a lot of manhwa. I read more manhwas than mangas. And yes, Ice Kunion was officially dissolved and Yen Press was created and taken its place. It's a relatively new company that started last year I believe. I thought about applying for an internship with them once here in NYC. Don't know if they are still in NY because I gave up on the idea and haven't been reading up about them.

Anyway, some of the manhwas I read were: Bird Kiss, Snow Drop, Can't Lose You, 100% Perfect Girl, Honey Mustard, Narration of Love at 17, Goong, The Antique Gift Shop, Cynical Orange, Chocolat <---- the last 3 I just mentioned were published under Ice Kunion, and I waited forever for updates on new volumes before I realized that Ice Kunion was about to dissolve. I am so glad Yen Press picked up the titles and decided to continue releasing the volumes. BUT, I haven't been reading manhwas in a while. I kind of miss it lol

I've only read Kill Me, Kiss Me and it was really romancy and when I look at the plots for other manhwas they seem more shoujo and fantasy types too. My guilty pleasures XD I should read the ones you girls recommended ad good

I actually do read manhwa! Apparently one of my favorites Guardian Angel Getten (Mamotte Shugogetten) is manhwa. I just found that out last night. So I've been reading manhwa for years and just didn't know it. That's me for you, not knowing something like that.

Talking Re: Anyone read manhwa???

GAHHH!!! omg! i luv that manga^^ well, the story line is kinda flaky (the author/artist kinda loses a reader's interest after a while) but i love it all the same. did u evr read k2 aka kill me kiss me? its really good only the characters kinda get beat up too much after a while>< also, hot blooded woman is good too becuz the women r strong!!! welllll~, actually only one of them, but i still enjoyed it.

the only hangup on some manhwa is that they're translated wayyy too slow and even if i get raw scans, i dont know enough korean to read it fluently but!!! i'm korean so i can get past most of it.... barely -.-;

erm... i believe mamotte shugogetten is just manga... xD it's by sakurano minene. judging by the name, their japanese... and mamotte is also published/ serialized by a japanese company.

>:0 i didnt like the end to kill me kiss me... i wish she chose SOMEONE ELSE or that SOMEONE ELSE actually ended up with someone... or maybe if they just chose a threesome! that solves everything.
